Republicans Fear Trump Is Hurting Their Chances.
Trump's ends-justify-the-means approach is colliding with the protect-the-norms posture of Republicans on the Hill and in statehouses across the country.

... None of it is likely to happen, and the gap between what is likely and what is possible explains Trump's frustrations with many in Congress and the anger the White House channels at operatives and pundits who say the president isn't doing enough to help retain control of Congress. "If everyone just follows his lead, follows the blueprints he's laid out, and runs on the record that he has, then I think we'll fare well," said a senior White House official, granted anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. ...

There don't seem to be enough sentient Republicans (candidates or voters) for that to make a difference.

Trump is their only chance republicans have as his endorsement wins primaries.
Don't fret Republicans!
Trump and his billionaire cohorts have plans in place for November.
He's not giving up his cash cow yet and there's till more of our nation to sell or destroy.

Have no fear Senate Republicans, Trump has "A PLAN." And as you already know from history, Trump's plans ALWAYS work. (LOL)

Trump isn't the most creative person in our government...he follows patterns. Look at how he profited mightily by bankrupting casinos, and then demanding a great amount of money to just go away. As I understand the shenanigans, he played his own partners for suckers and losers. He, I would imagine, will do the same to the present day Republican Party. They want him to go way away, perhaps before the 2028 elections, they let him rig things so he resigns, and the VP becomes President and pardons Trump for every illegal thing he and his family have done, are doing, or will ever do. Would you want Trump anywhere around come the midterms, never mind the 2028 elections if you were a Republican?

He's a businessman... that was his purpose...
He purposely systematically turned his republicl0wn opponents into castratos on the debate stage...when he sought the first nomination... then he brought them back as the Trumpanzee raggedya$$ entourage... to praise him effusively... give gratitude for their defeat by such a powerful man... and let us all know he has them leash trained... and they stopped comparing him to Hitler.
It doesn't bother them a bit that all they get from him are sloppy seconds from Vlad and Bibi... or any other "butch" leader that gives him audience... Oh well... a man's gotta do... what a man's gotta do
