Why in the world would Pres Trump be so against a bi-partisan bill that helps working Americans?
How has his billionaire-Cabinet been advising him on this topic?

If you actually read the article, you would know the answer to your own question.
"In a social media post on Friday, Trump said he refused to sign the bill in protest of the Senate's failure to pass the SAVE America Act, a voter ID measure he has argued should be Congress' top priority."

Trump has also claimed on numerous occasions that he would prefer to see housing prices go up. After all, he and his billionaire buddies, many of whom are heavily invested in real estate, and lower prices will not help them continue to make obscene amounts of money.

He hates Americans.
Especially after losing two popular votes and only winning in 2024 because Elon Musk helped him

Maybe because its just a puff piece of legislation, much like Trump.
FTA: "The legislation can play an important role in encouraging states and localities to make changes to expand housing supply, but it doesn't require them to make those changes," Freemark said. "Congress has chosen not to preempt local and state governments and tell them what to do,"
I have said this multiple times, clearly people aren't able to read, but if you can read "Why Nothing Works" www.amazon.com
I find it funny a Canadian posting problems with US housing supply when Canadian supply is in a crisis. See when I post about CALI problems, no other State has the issue CA does. But not ReDial, where he lives is in shambles so he has to complain about the US. Denial isn't just a river.
Here's why Canada's housing supply crisis is far worse than the US www.mpamag.com

Probably because it would be unconstitutional. The feds can provide guidelines, standards, funding and assistance in implementing any new policies, but they must still be run by the states.

Now Washington can make some changes at the federal level but it would mostly be in terms of rules for banks and mortgages.

I read the article.
But I ask, that is what Pres Trump said was the reason. But is the real reason because he cares little about affordability of working Americans?
So little that he was willing to stymie the passage of an overwhelmingly bi-partisan affordable housing bill in order to get his voter suppression bill passed?

This is mind reading and you're bad at it. Not just you but everyone is, so you shouldn't use it. But I see you use mind reading in many of your posts, insinuating others intentions by trying to read their minds, as opposed to relying upon evidence.
Tell me again you're technical, because the evidence is slim to none.

If the bill doesn't do anything, why shouldn't he leverage it to get what he wants done?
Everyone seems to want the "press" of a bill that does nothing. That is leverage any president would be wise to use to move their own agenda forward.
