What "truth" does this committee plan to produce? If they aren't going to call any other witnesses (and Fauci knew this which is actually why it might have been easier to plead the 5th) then what truth is going to emerge?

I think it helps Fauci knew he was the only witness. If he knew there were others who intended on not taking the 5th, then it might make him look worse doing it.

Perhaps a misstep by this committee. You would think they could have lined up others to talk talk talk....and tell them what they want to hear.
