Elon Musk has spent a staggering $445 million to boost Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterms.

That dwarfs the $290 million he spent in 2024. But this time around, Republicans aren't putting him center stage.

Why?"

" Elon Musk has spent a staggering $445 million"

Maybe it's time to define free speech and paid speech.

Is there a difference? Because there sure seems to be.

Paid off Republicans made sure Money legally became Speech, and Corporations became Super Citizens.

Fake Videos Targeting James Talarico Linked to Russian Operatives

:Oct 23, 2026 #MoreFromThom

A dubious video shared widely on X purports to show a former student of James Talarico accusing the Democratic US Senate candidate of sexual assault.

But the man in the likely AI-altered clip does not resemble the Texan he claims to be, and researchers said the distribution of the unfounded allegation has the hallmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign that previously pushed a similar narrative about then-vice presidential nominee Tim Walz in 2024."

Maybe this is why Musk is helping Russia against Ukraine, eh?

They are helping him and Paxton.

So the Russians love Paxton?

I wonder what they hope to get from the man?

Trump needs a republicans controlled senate.

Musk needs unfettered control of Texas.

Paxton is the key to both.

Besides. Talarico has spent his entire campaign talking about wealth inequality. Musk can't have that voice in our government.

On a side note. And because I can't make this headline fit in the 60 characters limit for headlines:

"Trump's justice department sues to block Senate race certification in Alaska if Republican loses"

So ... a violation, but only if they lose?!?

That's like a Manager telling the umpire they're playing under protest at the initial meeting at home plate.

There's no crying in baseball!!!

Unfortunately Trump seems to be rewriting the rules.

He needs the senate.

Especially if Alito is planning on retiring.

Let's not kid ourselves. If Trump loses the Senate, Alito will retire by Thanksgiving.

Mr Musk trying to buy votes?

Elon Musk announces $1M giveaway for voters who sign petition in battleground states (2024)
www.nbcnews.com

... Billionaire Elon Musk has upped his financial offer for registered swing state voters to sign a conservative-leaning petition, announcing Saturday that his pro-Trump super PAC would be awarding $1 million to a random signee every day from now until the election.

Musk initially launched the petition and referral offer in early October. His America PAC released the petition, which is in support of the Constitution's First and Second amendments.

The offer grew this week from $47 to $100 for registered Pennsylvania voters, and on Saturday, Musk unveiled the $1 million giveaway at a town hall event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. ...

I get Talarico's message and hope he whups Paxton's crooked a$$, but on one point he's wrong: Texas has always been for sale.

Hopefully they'll break the yoke this time around.

'Texas is not for Sale'
?
Sure it is. All our politics is for sale.

The Republicans, to quote Politico, are getting completely "smoked" when it comes to fundraising for the midterms. Their candidates " in red states and blue " are raising significantly less cash than the Democrats.

This simply means the Democrats have been able to spend far more money on their campaigns than Republicans. According to the Federal Election Commission, which publishes data on fundraising and spending, candidates have spent about US$2.85 billion (2.12 billion) in this election cycle. And the big spenders have pretty much all been Democrats.

So, dem shrilly asserts 'Texas is not for Sale'; proceeds to bid.

Texas is also not to be given away, which is why Abbott is in trouble.

That, in addition to his complete fealty to a criminal madman.

There was a day in Texas when things were much simpler, and people like Paxton would have been hanged long ago.
