Both parties have issues. But both parties are not the same.
Take Citizens United for an example. (Which is the basis of many if not most campaign and political monetary issues)
Democratic politicians generally oppose the decision, arguing it allows wealthy special interests and corporations to "drown out the voice of the American people" with unlimited campaign spending (often referred to as "dark money").
They have repeatedly introduced legislation, such as a constitutional amendment, to reverse the ruling, which has typically failed in the Senate along party lines due to Republican opposition.
Both parties are not the same.
But my democratically elected leaders, though...
