Progressives Take Another 'L'

The Supreme Court on Monday finally ruled on Donald Trump's presidential immunity claim, finding some of the former president's alleged efforts to overturn the election are immune from criminal prosecution.

Boaz has no idea what progressive means. It's just a buzz word for something he's frightened of, in this case the rule of law is the progressive thing he hates.

Boaz, do you have ANY concept on what this decision means in reality?

Keep in mind that if a Democratic president had 10% of the criminal intent that ------- does and acted accordingly.

You get that, right?

That this essentially establishes a King in America, someone who is by definition above the law.

You understand that, right?

The implications of this decision are truly mind blowing.

The president, as commander in chief of the armed forces is completely immune from ordering ANY otherwise criminal act on the army AND possesses untouchable power to pardon the perpetrators.

If that doesn't scare you, then you are an idiot and you are LUCKY Biden has morals.

#2 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-07-01 01:47 PM

The loss is with people who think no one, not even the President, is above the law.

#3 | Posted by snoofy at 2024-07-01 01:55 PM

oh wow....

it's the end of democracy...

AAAAAAAAAAAAH HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAAAAA

#4 | Posted by shrimptacodan at 2024-07-01 02:00 PM

Key takeaway:

Little (if any!) concern, or discussion, regarding former President Trump's actions as being illegal or at least unethical.
Any efforts regarding his actions are almost exclusively being devoted to shielding him from any accountability.
All those efforts done with little regard for the repercussions that seem sure to follow.

Happy Birthday, USA...

If you weren't lying....then people named hillary / Brennan and Clapper would have been in prison.

and a list of other democrat trash.

---and throw in Schumer who has threatened supreme court justices...which isn't legal.

I KNOW>..the gop should have gone through their list of donations and find them a judge / DA TOO...

"If you weren't lying....then people named hillary / Brennan and Clapper would have been in prison."

And Trump?

#7 | Posted by snoofy at 2024-07-01 02:11 PM

I was on the fence in 2016... when I read an important article that predicted court openings,

--although 3 openings was the real JACKPOT!!!

At that point my mind was made up and that decision rings true to this day.

and all this talk of democracy's demise is on a par with talk we heard from the Joe Scarborough's of the

democrat butt kissing media world about biden's mental capacity...

"he's sharp as a tack" / This Joe Biden is the best Joe Biden and -- if you don't believe that"....Joe Scarborough.

--IE: hyperbolic gibberish has become an art form with the leftist-dogma kLan.

-have a nice day.

"and all this talk of democracy's demise"

So we've been a thriving democracy under Dark Brandon then?

What's great about this ruling is that President Biden can now drone strike SHRIMPTACODAN.

Sorry, bud, it's an official act!

Again,

Literally

This decision allows the President to order Seal Team Six to kill ANYONE including his political rivals and be completely immune from prosecution.

He MIGHT be impeached (though how can one be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors if you are immune from high crimes and misdemeanors) but will he REALLY be impeached in reality?

He can then pardon any of Seal Team Six.

All he would need would be a devoted soldier to pull the trigger.

Again.

Breathtaking

#11 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-07-01 02:26 PM

Shrimp, if and when ------- drones say, Representative Jamie Raskin, or AOC will your perception change?

#12 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-07-01 02:28 PM

STFU Truth,

I know exactly what this means.

You can still go after Trump for things that are unofficial.

Jesus you are an idiot.

#13 | Posted by boaz at 2024-07-01 02:49 PM

"The president enjoys no immunity for his unofficial acts, and not everything the President does is official. The President is not above the law. But Congress may not criminalize the President's conduct in carrying out the responsibilities of the Executive Branch under the Constitution."

Makes sense to me.

#14 | Posted by boaz at 2024-07-01 03:02 PM

Of course it does, cause you're an idiot.

The President is listed in the Constitution as the Commander in Chief of the military

He is completely immune from any criminal act he can take as the CiC of the military

YOU UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM WITH THAT RIGHT??

You were in the military, right?

You were subject to the Military Code of Conduct, right?

The president can order you do break that code of conduct now-he can order torture, or killing civilians, he can use poison gas or biological weapons, he can order you imprisoned for disobeying his unlawful orders.

And he is immune from any criminal prosecution for that!

Those aren't even remote possibilities.

Don't you CARE?

You think ------- will hesitate to use the military IN the US? In violation of your precious state's rights? He WILL do that, he has said he will do that!

Don't you CARE?

You realize that is a definition of a king, right?

#16 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-07-01 03:28 PM

Congress is co equal. This negates that.

Presidents no longer have to consider legality when they act officially.

This does give the Supreme Court the power to define the presidency.

It makes Congress the weakest link in government.

The courts and president can now create law by fiat if the President keeps it within the official capacity.

It's like how Congress lost the power to declare war. The executive branch just ignores the law.

Our experiment in self governance is ending with a Whimper.

#17 | Posted by Effeteposer at 2024-07-01 03:36 PM

The fact that our military actually hired (allegedly) that slobbering moron speaks volumes.

#18 | Posted by LegallyYourDead at 2024-07-01 04:17 PM

You ignorant sap. This is a loss for America. For the first time ever a President is above the law. Even Nixon was shown not to be above the law. Of course your mental capacity to understand that is severely limited sadly.

And Payback will be Hell.

But this SCOTUS decision may protect Joe Biden from prosecution.
Until Joe Biden is gone the people of America will never want to hear about "progressivism" or the "squad" or imbeciles like AOC and Kamala Harris and hell hole Dem run cities like LA, SF, NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore. The only way we will bring back our country is to throw them and their lying absurd irrational unethical "progressivism" out.

He won't do it because he is too honorable but POTUS should round up every insurrectionest in Congress, Combover Quisling and all of his taint sniffers who closely conspired with him in the insurrection, and any SCOTUS justice offering cover to Dotard for committing the worst crime against the country in my lifetime, especially Alito, Thomas, and and of course his troll of a wife. He should do it under the Insurrection Act. It would be an official act, thus he would have immunity. The insurrectionists should be lined up and shot, but I could be talked into cells at Gitmo. Other nations deal with traitors swiftly and firmly, we allow them to be shielded by the judges they named, and run for reelection. What a flipping JOKE!

How DARE Biden suggest that the people *GASP* block Trump from office through voting. How dare he.

Actual quote from your own article: "'The American people must decide whether Donald Trump's assault on our democracy on Jan. 6 makes him unfit for public office in the highest office in the land. The American people must decide if Trump's embrace of violence, to preserve his power, is acceptable. Perhaps most importantly, the American people must decide if they want to trust the ... presidency to Donald Trump.'"

Also, are you talking about weak powerless Biden today or super strong dangerous Biden today? It's hilarious that Biden is both too old and slow AND too powerful and vindictive to be President in y'all's minds.
