X Flags NPR Story on Trump, Arlington as Unsafe

The social platform X flagged a story from NPR that outlined the fallout of a reported clash between Trump campaign staffers and Arlington National Cemetery officials earlier this week as potentially "unsafe."

Comments

"The Army defended the cemetery official after the incident, saying the employee was only trying to enforce the rules that prohibit political activity on the cemetery grounds when they were reportedly shoved aside.

Users who attempted to view the story through a link on X on Thursday were redirected by the platform to a warning page that reads "this may be unsafe."

"The link you are trying to access has been identified by X or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe," it continues."

'
Also, from the 'unsafe' article:

"The Army, in its statement, called the incident "unfortunate," adding: "it is also unfortunate that the ANC employee and her professionalism has been unfairly attacked."

The statement comes a day after Trump shared a TikTok video including footage from Arlington National Cemetery that likely violates a federal law against using military cemeteries for campaigning purposes."

.

So... fElon must mean that it's 'spammy or usafe' for Trumpers to see the Military calling out Trump's lies about the incident and about the Officer.

"Hours after the Army's statement was released Thursday LaCivita re-shared a video on X of Trump's visit saying he was "hoping to trigger the hacks at @SecArmy," tagging the official account for Army Secretary Christine Wormuth. The video showed the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier rather than Section 60.

Asked about LaCivita's post on X, an Army spokesperson only repeated that the Army considers the matter closed.

Some veterans groups have also spoken out about the Trump campaign conducting political activity at Arlington " one of the most sacred burial grounds for US service members."

Musk and his Russian oligarch partners are desperate for Trump to win the election.

One has to wonder why Musk, who is notorious for workers rights violations, would support Trump's presidency.

Could it be the promised tax cut and potential environmental degradations Republicans would provide him? Is it the fact republicans have zero regard for the middle class and the poor?

The fact republicans, who timing again vote against the best interest of the middle-class in the working poor, get any votes from anyone who is not a billionaire, Is proof how ignorant people are.

They're being manipulated by religion and hate and ignorance to vote against their own best interests.

"NPR unsafe?"

Unsafe for Trumpy. Of course.

Turns out there IS extreme media bias, just not like The Dotard's Party says.

Reasons why it may be marked as unsafe.

malicious links that could steal personal information or harm electronic devices - It's NPR so you might get hit up for a donation
spammy links that mislead people or disrupt their experience - Reporting the truth on Trump may very well disrupt the imagined experiences of Twits.
violent or misleading content that could lead to real-world harm - a member of Trump's staff did react violently and this may have a real-world harm on Trump's support which Elon has deemed harmful to his "real" world.
certain categories of content that, if posted directly on X, are a violation of the X Rules - Elon has decided any criticism of Trump is a violation of the twit's rules.

Just remembered why I don't use Twitter. I avoid sites owned by right wing psrtisan political hacks.

I find nearly all news reporters at NPR to be skilled, seasoned professionals. As Mary Louise Kelly demonstrated in her interview of Fat Mike Pompeo some years ago, NPR folk don't back down against bullies. To be flagged by a failing social media site full of Russian bots, ads for ----- pills and notes from naked teens who want to meet anyone, that's a badge of courage in my mind...

LaCivita published another photo of Trump at Arlington pushing it into the Army's face with a taunt about triggering them.

Again, 'why is ANYONE still on X, who isn't a Neo-Nazi, right wing thug,
or paid troll?'

Go to Threads people. Let X die the death it deserves...

I flagged the whole social media site X (formerly know as twitter) as "spammy and unsafe" when I deleted my account from there ages ago.

Elmo was recently just caught with at least 60 fake accounts using AI to use European models to try and promote a convicted felon for president in order to harm the U.S.A.

When elon says UNSAFE he means its UNSAFE for trump, putin, elon, and the saudis, because it hurts trump's election odds.

Truth is UNSAFE for fascists.

Musk is a hateful, dangerously dishonest megalomaniac attempting to reshape the world to his liking by controlling politics, business, and communications with his vast wealth. He and Trump are two peas in a pod.

Put those two self-pitying, whining man-babies together and you have the makings of a barely passable primate.

Who is surprised? The draft dodging chicken loves using our fallen soldiers as props. They are after all, "losers and suckers" as he did say to John Kelly. This traitor to the USA hates our troops and considers them stupid. He puts down the USA at any chance he gets. He's looking for the "hate america" vote. In any case, trump is the loser and those voting for him are the suckers.

The video and the NPR story are only "unsafe" for Ytump's campaign. As if I neefed another reason to consider Twitter just a right wing propaganda platform. Nothing more.

@#26 ... X is becoming as laughable as Faux News...

Yes and no.

Yes, about the lies.

But no, Fox News seems to be able to hold on to its advertising revenue so far.

X, well, that's a different story.

Elon Musk's X has a major advertising problem
qz.com

... The social media platform's estimated ad revenue dropped $238 million in 2024 so far

Elon Musk's repeated attempts to convince companies to take out advertisements on his social media site appear to have fallen flat, according to new data.

Advertisers apparently spent almost $744 million on X, formerly known as Twitter, during the first six months of 2024. That's about 24% lower than the more than $982 million advertisers dropped on the platform in the first half of 2023, according to ad-tracking company MediaRadar.

That data backs up what has already been clear for more than a year -- X has a revenue problem. ...

"The social media platform's estimated ad revenue dropped $238 million in 2024 so far"

Amazing, how owners disdain advertising in toilets.

70% of my feed (thanks, Elmo!) is conspiracy morons and Moms for Liberty-esque manure.

That said, he's borrowed (like Trump) from Russian oligarchs. What's a debtor to do?

@#28 ... That said, he's borrowed (like Trump) from Russian oligarchs. What's a debtor to do? ...

The interesting aspect of that seems to be the similar list of talking points presented.

For example, suddenly, both Mr Musk and a current alias here on this most august site seem to be asserting that Pres Putin will prevail in his quest against the west.
