Hegseth to be Replaced

The White House has begun the process of looking for a new secretary of defense, according to a U.S. official who was not authorized to speak publicly.

The Pentagon is in "total chaos" and Pete Hegseth is unlikely to remain in his role, according to its former top spokesperson, who painted a scene of dysfunction, backstabbing and missteps at the highest levels of the department.

The most suitable replacement:

... a new secretary of defense ...

Sec Hegseth should not have been in that position in the first place.

Unfortunately, the damage he has caused will persist when he is gone.

Good fit for soon to be ex-DOGE Lord Commander Elon. He had bone spurs too!

The White House responds:

"It's just fake news. They just bring up stories," President Donald Trump told reporters. "I guess it sounds like disgruntled employees. You know, he was put there to get rid of a lot of bad people, and that's what he's doing. So you don't always have friends when you do that," Trump said.

"This is what happens when the entire Pentagon is working against you and working against the monumental change that you are trying to implement," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in remarks amplified by a Pentagon social media account.

The White House responds:

"He has expressed a desire to spend more time with his family."

The US has the most powerful stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world, overseen by the USSECDEF. For decades previous US administrations dissuaded other countries from proliferation so that WMDs wouldn't end up in the hands of despots, lunatics, or rogue states. Who knew that the US wouldn't take its own good counsel?

#9 | Posted by C0RI0LANUS at 2025-04-21 02:19 PM

What?

But what of all his qualifications as a drunken, woman beating, white supremacist?

I'm not sure Trump can find anyone better qualified.

...he was put there to get rid of a lot of bad people ... Trump said

I'm surprised he actually admitted he wasn't put there to lead or do a good job. We all knew it but it seems Trump messed up and told the truth for once.

The White House has begun the process of looking for a new leader at the Pentagon to replace Pete Hegseth, according to a U.S. official who was not authorized to speak publicly. This comes as Hegseth is again mired in controversy over sharing military operational details in a group chat."

Every Commander changes personnel when he takes command.
Hell, over my 3 commands, I did the same thing.
But I guess to many of those who never served or understood what it means to command, this is a big thing. You are just ignorant of the military and how it's supposed to work.

"according to a U.S. official who was not authorized to speak publicly"

But then this from the people who are authorized to speak publicly.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt denied that there's an effort to replace Hegseth, posting on X that President Trump "stands strongly" behind him. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump backed Hegseth and said concerns over the Signal chats are a "waste of time."

"He's doing a great job " ask the Houthis how he's doing," Trump said.

Don't y'all have some undocumented gang members to re-home or something?

Is Trump capable of feeling shame? He jammed this unqualified alcoholic buffoon down the nation's throat. And it turned out just like we all knew it would. Next up: RFK Jr., and Kristi Noem are up next. And shame on the GOP in Congress for allowing any of this in the first place.

No worries!!

President Trump "stands strongly" behind him.

Because that's the safest place to fire someone from.

Even better if you can do it on CNN on a big screen behind them while they giving a speech to respected colleagues thousands of miles from home.

And the coup de grace is canceling their government credit cards so they have to walk home.

Now that is the Way.

The MAGA Way.

Hegseth has to stay- he is a completely compromised Christian nationalist/Zionist; 100% beholden to Israel; a thoroughly bloodthirsty, intellectually challenged stooge if there ever was one. If he can't push his way in there and make an utter mess of things, how else is Israel going to infest the Pentagon with its despicable supremacist ideology?
