Two Israeli Embassy Staff Members Killed in DC

Two staff members at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC, were killed Wednesday night near the Capital Jewish Museum, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said.

"DC Police said its investigating a shooting across the street from the FBI's Washington Field Office, which is located near the museum. The Israeli embassy is working with law enforcement.

The Israeli ambassador was not involved in the incident and was not at the location when the shooting happened, an embassy spokesperson told CNN.

US Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a post on social media that she and acting US Attorney for DC Jeanine Pirro have arrived to the scene of the shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum."

This was a curious operational venue for a supposedly antisemitic attack when there are at least a dozen synagogues in Wash DC. The alleged perpetrator could have easily snuffed out several vulnerable victims at these places of worship, including a rabbi, if he hated Jews: www.mavensearch.com

In effect, Benjamin Netanyahu's Nakba put a target on the back of Jews worldwide, whether they are Sephardic or Ashkenazi, Labor or Likud, innocent peace activists or virulent Islamophobes, atheists or deeply pious. This is simply more blood on Netanyahu's hands.

An international arrest warrant issued by the ICC for war crimes and crimes against humanity remains active for Benjamin Netanyahu. An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
