Hi Corky:
This was a curious operational venue for a supposedly antisemitic attack when there are at least a dozen synagogues in Wash DC. The alleged perpetrator could have easily snuffed out several vulnerable victims at these places of worship, including a rabbi, if he hated Jews: www.mavensearch.com
The rightwing trolls will jump all over this act of public vengeance against Israel, AIPAC gets another talking point, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will get a taxpayer funded bodyguard detail, the IDF will be extra vicious in Gaza tomorrow, the Settlers will burn down a Palestinian house or two in the West Bank (Thursday evening is usually when the Settlers run amok), and Pam Bondi will seek the death penalty for the new 'Luigi Mangione'.
In effect, Benjamin Netanyahu's Nakba put a target on the back of Jews worldwide, whether they are Sephardic or Ashkenazi, Labor or Likud, innocent peace activists or virulent Islamophobes, atheists or deeply pious. This is simply more blood on Netanyahu's hands.
An international arrest warrant issued by the ICC for war crimes and crimes against humanity remains active for Benjamin Netanyahu. An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Hamas-lover killed a civilian Christian couple about to be engaged. That's the Palestinians we all know and love.
"Yaron Lischinsky was preparing to propose to his girlfriend Sarah Milgrim. He had just bought an engagement ring, and planned to ask on a trip to Jerusalem next week.
But on Wednesday night in Washington, they were shot dead by a man who shouted "free Palestine" outside the Capital Jewish Museum as they left an event billed by organisers as a discussion of the Gaza crisis that aimed to "turn pain into purpose".
Friends told the BBC that Mr Lischinsky was a Christian with great belief in Israel."
