He had crossed the US-Mexico border the night before with 50 other people. Migrants who arrive here enter through gaps in the US border wall, such as at the nearby San Judas Break. They were lined up, waiting for US Customs and Border Patrol agents to pick them up so that they could officially apply for asylum. Several wore down jackets; others were wrapped up in blankets. They had very few belongs with them " only two had suitcases. Most of them were from China. ...

fwiw, the use of the word "tiny" on this thread started with #4, "...If the article includes no actual numbers, only a percent increase, or not even that, it's because that actual size of the phenomenon is tiny ...

Note that the #4 comment uses the word "if," apparently not knowing how, or even if, the word was used in the thread's article. Hint: it was used, as I quoted in #1, "...he ultimately arrived in Jacumba Hot Springs, a tiny California town of 600 residents..."

Indeed, I read the entire dw.com article and thought it was a good discussion of the issue. I've found Deutsche Welle news to be quite good reporting upon US events. Maybe the separation of the ocean gives them a less political viewpoint?

I'm kind of curious, though, why the #4 comment engaged upon what now seems to be a disruption intent.
