... what President Vladimir Putin called a "major provocation ...

Wait... what?!?!?!?

Pres Putin calls a possible Ukraine incursion into Russia a major provocation???

So, what then does Pres Putin call his unprovoked invasion of a sovereign Ukraine?

The Ukrainians are going to attack from both sides and squeeze the cheese in the middle. That should be obvious.

Two years into his illegal war, committing countless war crimes, blowing up women and children in hospitals and schools and he is surprised that Ukraine is punching him in the nose?

Exactly what I thought while reading. In war, being surprised by "major provocations" means you are a terrible commander. That's what war is about. But, this may give us a glimpse into the situation though. Maybe Putin is so dumb he didn't even know what war was until this. It's got to be the only answer. So now he is surprised because he didn't know what war meant and is now realizing his mistake...

Loser says what Putin?

www.minusrus.com Ukrainian estimates, perhaps a little high...

index.minfin.com.ua another estimate...

tried to find the (Institute for the Study of War's) estimate, which I've seen before on Youtube,
but kept running into articles after articles, and really just wanted the total numbers.

Underestimating the capacity of the Enemy is always a mistake.

Putin made this error, NATO made the same error.

Ukraine hides their losses. This is a waste of men and materiel for a non strategic thrill hoping for more handouts from the West.

But the West isn't giving them more highly trained troops or under trained Expendables either.

When the incursion gets closed off in a Kessel they will all Die or get captured.

Just a Waste...

Of Men and Machines.

For Nothing...

Also the Ukrainians are committing war crimes in Russia, shooting and raping Women, and burning monasteries and homes.

If they take the nuclear power plant it's going to get Very Ugly.

Putler's fluffed at it again with lies, disinformation, propaganda and gas lighting for his daddy Putler.

I guess you going to blame Kiev getting a radioactive cloud from Chernobyl on them too? Where do you get your information from as I see nowhere on any international sites that even mentions what you just posted traitor. Do the right thing and stop before the Western intelligence agencies home in on your location and bag tag and haul you off to Guantanamo.

This is looking more and more like a Battle of the Bulge type thing.

Ukrainians pushing deep into the Russian borderlands but in a narrow expanding front.

They could be slowed and gradually pushed out or encircled and Annihilated

Either way I see no clear path to this going anywhere strategically.

They are raping and murdering pregnant women, that's been documented.

They also are burning monasteries and looting private homes.

Like undisciplined criminals.

They could conceivably hold out for a few weeks but it won't amount to much.

It's Just making it easier for Putin to get fresh volunteers to fight the Nazis.

The outrage in Russia over the War Crimes is Extreme.

Meanwhile in reality, Russians recorded themselves approaching Ukrainian soldiers asking them what to do. The Ukrainians reportedly told them to learn Ukrainian and prepare for a referandum. Same Russian didn't care who was in charge. No murder spree. Hah. Russians aren't fighting back, just like no one really fought back during Prigozhin's mutiny.

Anyways, the Ukrainians are moving so fast because they aren't stopping to loot the local homes and stores like the Russians

eventually resulting in Russia giving up or enduring a long term guerilla war in their cities which will be very costly in Russian civillian lives. They will never feel secure again.

The slaughter of Russian troops in Kursk is pointless.
The International community needs to call upon North Korea, Iran, and China to disarm Russia and stop the killing.
Putin should negotiate for peace before more of his people are needlessly killed.

Well, it's a solution. If you can't shoot certain US weapons from Ukraine into Russia, but you need to destroy certain airbases...

We can see it right? You drive into Russia, launch the missiles from Russia to Russia, and destroy the jets.

Not ironic enough. It would also save Russian civilian lives. That's who the bombs are hitting as the jets try to counter this 2 brigade raid.

Putin should negotiate for peace before more of his people are needlessly killed.

Putin can do that by simply removing his illegal invasion force back to Russia.

Ukrainians attack inside Russia a second time and are now 20 miles inside of Russia at Lipetsk. 400 more Russian troops killed. Many captured. An airbase in flames. Weapons depot destroyed Russian Su-34 bombers dropped FAB-500 aerial bombs on their own village of Darino in an attempt to clear Ukrainians who have invaded the border area.

Put needs to pull all of his troops out of Ukraine and put them on the border to make sure there aren't future invasions. Heck he can give himself an award for having saved Russia

#26 | Posted by Tor at 2024-08-09 02:30 PM | Reply

The troops rushing to the border to try and halt this breakthrough are being destroyed with artillery directed by drones with laser designators. Power is out in the region after drone strikes on Russian infrastructure. There are no militias to tie up Ukrainian forces, the region was already drained of people that could be troops and it's a very high elderly population.

Marders have broken through in Kursk. In 2024. The last time that happened it was 1943.

Russia needs to evacuate the Region's civilian population to Moscow where there's plenty of room for a tent city on red square.

Donner's first line is slightly off. Liptesk is 200 miles from the front. It's home to the Su-34 fighter bombers which are the key to battering down Ukrainian positions over time because they can throw accurate-enough glide bombs from outside of SAM range. The entire weapon depot at their airbase was destroyed in a swarming drone assault, that part no longer exists. It doesn't stop the glide bombs but now they'll have to haul in many more from elsewhere and storage will be a challenge.

I'm off a little myself. It was ATACMS that wiped the convoy. They've captured Sudzha. It's a natural gas pipeline town and extremely valuable to Gazprom.

I am hoping some PO'd folks around Georgia to Chechnya are taking note.

Risky?

It looks like pure desperation to me. Like when the Germans attacked in 1944.

Same outcome too most likely. Best case they hold the area and create a case for land swaps later but that's unlikely.

More likely, this is the last Hurrah for Ukraine.

After this they will be deleted and in disarray.

War is uncertain so anything could happen Though.

High risk High reward operations, suggest the Ukrainians know they are reaching the end.

Ukraine is proven that like I suspected precious Russia's military is now so weak that any neighboring country can invade and take as much territory as they want with minimum resistance.

There is only one way it can "end". If Russia removes its troops from the sovereign soil of its neighbor and stop committing acts of terror against it.

There are approximately a million Ukrainian solders in the field. Another million in reserve. And with an estimated manpower of 22 million.

www.statista.com

Even if Pooty took out Zelensky today do you really think the Ukrainians will surrender now? After all that's happened?

Not likely. It would just turn into guerrilla warfare. With advanced weaponry supplied by America and the rest of NATO.

Russia will never control Ukraine. The sooner pooty and his useful tools admit this the sooner people will stop dying. Isn't that what you want ? For people to stop dying? Pooty pants could bring this nightmare to an end today. If he wanted to.
