"The interview had a number of moments where Stern riffed on Trump, including the former president's absence from Monday's 60 Minutes election special.
"It just says so much," Stern said.
"He didn't want to be fact checked. This is madness. This is insanity. What do you mean, you don't want to be fact-checked?"
;
Stern also asked Harris about the new revelations from Bob Woodward's upcoming book, War. According to The Washington Post, Woodward writes that during the early days of Covid, Trump was sending Covid tests to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Putin told Trump, "Don't let anyone know."
"People in America were struggling to get tests and this guy is sending them to Russia, to a murderous dictator for his personal use?" Harris said.
"That is just the most recent stark example of who Trump is," she continued, "that he secretly sent Covid test kits for the personal use of Putin of Russia, an adversary to the United States, when he was talking about Americans should be putting bleach in their blood. Think about what this is."
She said that Trump "has this desire to be a dictator," and the world'd dictators are "manipulating him with flattery and favor."
;
Harris also appeared to be goading Trump at one point, when she made the case that it was the former president who is the weak one in the race.
"Ultimately, I do believe that this is an election that is about strength versus weakness, and weakness as projected by someone who puts himself in front of the American people and does not have the strength to stand in defense of their needs, their dreams, their desires," she said."
