Really? That's always the excuse.

Given how often this happens to "Christian" groups, there must be no real Christian churches or organizations in the US at all.

Wait, don't you call yourself a Christian, Bill?

I still hear that idiocy from that original hoax/mass hysteria repeated today. I even have people argue with me and tell me it all really happened (the satanic abuse nonsense part).

Raymond Zwiefelhofer was convicted of 10 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material and was sentenced to 120 years in prison last month.

They already do and far more often. Muslims don't get to hide behind the Christian religion "good vibes" garbage in America.

If you had ever been near the Court system, especially in small town America, you'd know being a "good Christian" often gets a lighter sentence or dismissal. Social Services will often just ignore outright child abuse claiming someone is a good Christian and wouldn't do that.

Sy,

"Social Services will often just ignore outright child abuse claiming someone is a good Christian and wouldn't do that."

That seems like a pretty generalized statement. Social services are legally required to investigate all reports of child abuse, no matter someone's religion.

While individual biases might happen, I don't think it's fair to say they routinely ignore abuse just because someone is a 'good Christian.'

Do you have any specific examples?

BillJohnson has also admitted he believes the 5x/day Muslim call to prayer sounds "ugly". When I pointed out my Catholic Church rang the prayer bells at 6, 7, 8, noon, and 6pm, he excused it due to the beauty.

If drinking tea was all you got out of that lunch with strangers who's language you really don't speak is all you got out of that video.... then I don't know what to tell you, boy.

I was in Linares Mexico once, college days with a friend from that town and another Texan.

At a party I was introduced to a couple of the aunts who didn't speak English, but after we were a bit frustrated by it, she said what were apparently the few words of English she knew... she said, "Such if life!", sounding like some little Jewish mother.

And that was memorable. It was a vibe.

I have a theory.

Atheists and liberals (most of who have negative feelings about Christianity) probably wouldn't mind hearing Muslim noises that are considered requirements as part of that religion.

But likely would have a fit about Christian related worshipping that might make noises everyone has to hear.

Clown,

People often use the word "cult" loosely. I don't generally use the term often myself. Who am I to discern the difference?

I acknowledge that there are groups that call themselves Christian but exhibit the characteristics of true cults.

That said, even within respected Christian churches, some Christians (mostly ultra-conservative) label Mormons or Catholics as members of cults.

A group that uses the Christian label and sexually abuses anyone isn't even a cult.

It is blasphemy.

Would you be less concerned or upset with hearing Muslim call to prayer all day than you would hearing Christian singing or whatever blasted over the speakers for all to hear?

Just yes or no.

Would you be more inclined to accept hearing Muslim's worshipping than Christians in your daily life?

Because these predators know that hiding under the title "youth pastor", "minister" or "priest" gives them free and easy access to "troubled" youths to abuse because of the brainwashing of society to believe the sky man cults are moral and good.

The predators are also attracted to teaching, coaching, scouting etc...but many of those require background checks which expose them as such these days.

I've seen more and more law enforcement officers hiding behind their badges to be sexual predators as well.
