Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Trump's landslide victory wasn't just defined by the swing states. He picked up territory nationwide, securing 10-point gains in some counties in Texas and making huge inroads in California. Washington was the only state that did not swing towards the Republicans in 2024, illustrating the extent of the political shift that occurred. As such, Trump is on course to become the first Republican candidate to win the popular vote in 20 years.

God you're just so stupid. Trump barely won. It was no landslide victory.

Trumpy's victory is just more proof that propaganda and lies can work on a very large number of Americans and are a harbinger of things to come. Especially with AI already here. And the things this election portends are not good things.

It will be quite interesting to hear boazo try to brag and gloat 2 years from now after we all see the devastating results of choosing a corrupt and hateful narcissist who is determined to wage a war of revenge and retribution on his political enemies as President of the formerly United States.

Hubris has already destroyed many a civilization. What's one more?

It's funny how Laura says what says and there's actual proof that Trump won the popular vote and won by 7 million votes. You can try and reduce it all you want.

#4 | Posted by boaz at 2024-12-17 03:10 PM | Reply

Trump won the popular vote by 2.2 million votes, or 1.4%.

It's so easy to check this stuff but you don't bother to do so.

And you can gloat and inflate your crowd sizes all you want.

It was not a mandate. Better pick your first battle very carefully. It may be the only one you win. If you can win anything with this upcoming Congress.

He won by 121K votes in 3 swing states... and less than 50 percent of all votes.

His only 'man date" is with Vlad.

There's my literal, reality changing liberal.

He won by 7 million votes. But you can cloud the mind of your slave progressive idiots.

Most of those 7 million were not in swing states, so...

"Expert says '121,000 votes in 3 swing states' were key in Harris' defeat

Shift in these votes across Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin " all swing states " would have produced a different outcome with Harris winning over Trump, says David Schultz."

Like I said.

However, Trump still would have won the 2024 presidential election even if the winner was decided by popular vote, as he garnered roughly 2 million more votes than his Democratic counterpart, Vice President Kamala Harris.

By your logic you have been arguing with me for the last 4 years, popular vote matters.

And no one is reporting that he only won by 121K. No one gives a ----. That's because it's a disingenuous stat.

- a disingenuous stat.

That's hilarious. Obviously you missed your calling in comedy.

But look on the bright side, if Vlad doesn't show up to be his man date, that's your big chance!

That means Kamala did worse. What does that say about her?

Obviously, she's not the one who is claiming some great mandate, that would be your Hero.

I'm sure you could have come up with that on your own.

All that aside, what's the problem with being literal, Boaz? No interpretation involved. Does that bother you?

Reality seems to be whatever you think it is. Just like your impressions of the state of North Carolina.

#17 | Posted by Dbt2 at 2024-12-17 07:51 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

My impressions of NC are why I live here.

Unlike you liberals, who desperately want to change NC so you can move here and feel comfortable in a culture that's not yours. So you are trying to make it blue or purple. It isnt working. Maybe in the cities, not anywhere else.

You pull up cherry picked data and say it's the whole picture. But it's not.

I can bring up FACTS that show alot bigger than what you are wanting everyone to think.

That's how democrats work.

If Kamala had won by the same numbers, liberals wouldn't just be saying mandate.

They'd be calling it a landslide.

Two takeaways from the last two Presidential elections in 2020 and 2024:

1. In 2020 (and still continuing!), the Trump supporters on this blog behaved like sore losers.

2. In 2024, the Trump supporters on this blog are behaving like sore winners.

Seems those folks are just always sore.

He won by just shy of 2.3 million votes. 1.5%. And failed to gain the majority of votes.

You have to go out of your way to be so consistently wrong as you are.

He certainly puts in the effort... or perhaps it's a natural gift.

#27 | Posted by Corky at 2024-12-18 10:47 AM | Reply

I'm going with option 2.

Trump wins by 1.5%, doesn't get a majority of votes and has a minuscule bump in total votes ...

But he's got a mandate because "THE PEOPLE" have spoken.

Meanwhile, Biden won by more than 8 million votes, 4.5%, had a majority of votes ... but the people *sad trombone* didn't speak then. Nope.

But that was stolen! Uh huh. Win = bestest election ever, loss = StOlEnZ!

Definitely option 2 if one displays that level of absurdity.

2024 Election results as reported by the Associated Press

Trump: 77,275,579 votes (49.9%)

Harris: 74,993,503 votes (48.4%)

2020 Election results:

Trump: 74,216,747

Biden: 81,268,867

Trump barely picked up any votes.

Democrats ran with Harris and lost voters.

#29 | Posted by ClownShack at 2024-12-18 01:15 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

It's ironic.

In 2020, Biden won by 7M votes and an electoral victory of 306 to 232. No one, not even the Dems, said he had a "mandate".
In 2024, Trump won by 2.3M votes and an electoral victory of 312 to 226. And the same folks that insisted that there was no mandate in 2020 are declaring some sort of imaginary mandate now. How so, for 6 piddly electoral votes?

Let's be honest here, there is no mandate either way.

Let's be honest, the shrill extremes of both parties were just trying to justify forcing their views on people who didn't want it.

Good faith is a lost concept.
