Among registered voters, it's Biden 46%, Trump 45%. Among likely voters, it's Biden 49%, Trump 45%, again not a significant difference.

"A five-way contest doesn't change the picture in this poll, produced for ABC by Langer Research Associates with fieldwork by Ipsos.

This finds the race at 42% for Trump and 40% for Biden, with 12% for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 2% for Cornel West and 1% for Jill Stein. (That, of course, assumes Kennedy, West and Stein are on the ballot in all states, an open question.)

Among registered voters in the five-way race, it's 42-42%, Biden-Trump, and Biden is a non-significant +3 or +4 points in likely voter models.

Kennedy gets 12% even though 77% of his supporters say they know "just some" or "hardly anything" about his positions on the issues.

Notably, his supporters are more apt to be Republicans or GOP-leaning independents (54%) than Democrats and Democratic leaners (42%, a slight difference given sample sizes), and in a two-way race, they favor Trump over Biden by 13 points.

That may explain why Trump attacked Kennedy as a stalking horse in social media posts last week."

'
Another result finds a potential risk for Trump in his current trial in New York on charges of falsifying business records to hide a payoff to a pornographic actress who says they had sex, which he denies.

Eighty percent of Trump's supporters say they'd stick with him even if he's convicted of a felony in this case. But that leaves 20% who say they'd either reconsider their support (16%) or withdraw it (4%) -- easily enough to matter in a close race."

Obligatory

In both of these instances, there is that pesky "margin of error" aspect.

In other words, individual polls are meaningless at this point.

But the trend they may show is more significant.

Unfortunately, the trend also seems to be wallowed in the murkiness of Margin of Error.

Oh well...

Wouldn't be much of a race if Democrats could message in the slightest.

If it weren't a close race, or at least portrayed that way, the Media would lose a ton of money.

And since money is their bottom line, not responsible journalism, we'll almost always have a, "close race" whether we do or not.

Or if they'd just govern in the slightest.

The media NEEDS it to be a horse race, so they will keep picking polls that show that.

At this point the best that can be hoped for is a Trump win and the Dems to take the House with a 2-3 seat majority and keep the Senate and pick up 2 seats there. A single conservative justice going boldly into the afterlife might also be a plus.

That should guarantee that absolutely nothing will get done.

Just like in 2016, national polls don't really matter. How quickly liberals forget that thanks to the Electoral College, only a handful of states will decide a national election.

I hope Joe spends significant time on the swing states, instead of just fundraising in the blue states, like another Democrat did.

I prefer a horse race because if it looked like Biden had a great or overwhelming lead Democrats would stay home thinking Biden doesn't need their vote, like they did with Hillary! Then Trump would win and we all would lose.

Democrats actually have a pretty good list of accomplishments, for those of us who AREN'T simply foreign trolls.

Biden had better find a way to get the Israeli terrorist state under control, or he's going to have a MASSIVE youth vote problem. They're not going to be voting for the orange menace either, but they're likely to vote 3rd party or just not show up if he doesn't stop supporting genocide.

Bingo. The polls are highly inaccurate.

This up coming blue tsunami is going to be the biggest landslide result of a national election since Reagan.

This nation will answer the question 'if we remain a semi-functioning democracy, or if we've become a majority moron nation' on election night.

I fear I already know the answer,
and its not good...

"The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

It has been enacted into law by 17 states and DC with 209 electoral votes (Status in the states). It needs an additional 61 electoral votes to go into effect."

Let me guess Cork, all red states left?

The same red states who are STILL not over
the Civil War, which happened 160+ years ago?

Pardon me if I don't hold my breath waiting...

No need to guess... see Status of the States.

Prolly wouldn't hurt to sign the Petition.

All blue, or all but one?

Republican states will NEVER sign on. Texas, agreeing to send its votes for the Democrat? NFW.

"Biden had better find a way to get the Israeli terrorist state under control, or he's going to have a MASSIVE youth vote problem."

And if he caves to the Islamists, he's going to have a problem with everyone else.

Which is why Trump will be the next president. Because Biden is unwilling to confront the extremists he thinks he actually needs.

I mean, what else can you say about an entire political Party of the USA embracing domestic terrorism, xenophobia, rape, torture, infidelity, authoritarianism, religious theocracy, fraud and general depravity? It's not Biden's fault that just under 50% of the voting public lacks basic decency. Democrats don't have a problem with messaging, they're just up against a media complex and voting populace that is mentally ill and completely lacking morality and values.

Look at their candidate for president. Hillary was right.

To paraphrase Rumsfeld, you use the electoral system you have, not the electoral system you want.
