My guess along these lines is the following ...
VP Vance runs for President in 2028, with Pres Trump as his VP candidate.
Then if they are elected, the then Pres Vance steps down, allowing then VP Trump becomes President for his third term.

Well if Democrats don't get to work finding a candidate who can run a "big tent" campaign, that is what we are going to get. A platform of "not Trump" isn't going to be enough to get across the finish line.

The Democrats have a hill to climb.
Will they get to the top?
imo, in order to do so, they need to toss aside the Sen Schumers of the party, and start looking for candidates and leaders who are more aligned with the current electorate.
But that's just my opinion. Take it for what it is worth.
