According to The Telegraph on August 13, US President Donald Trump is preparing to offer Russian leader Vladimir Putin a series of economic incentives to end the ongoing war in Ukraine.

"There are a range of incentives, in which a potential mineral/rare earth deal could be one," a source with knowledge of the proposals told The Telegraph.

This deal would grant Putin access to valuable minerals in Ukraine's eastern regions, particularly lithium, which is used in the production of batteries.

Ukraine is believed to hold 10 percent of the world's lithium reserves, two-thirds of which are located in areas under Russian control."

"In addition to the mineral and aviation proposals, Trump is considering opening Alaska's valuable natural resources, especially oil and gas reserves, to Russia. Alaska's proximity to Russia"just three miles across the Bering Strait"makes this an attractive option for Putin's strategic interests in the Arctic region, which accounted for 80 percent of Russia's gas production in 2022."

Vlad isn't going to do any more than a Ceasefire... that he can break any time he likes, just as he's done with every Ceasefire to which he's ever agreed with anyone.

lol... let's start the ball rolling by giving Vlad most of Ukraine's mineral resources. What a good opening 12D chess gambit by Donald Chamberlain.

According to the article, he's offering to sell Russia some Boeing aircraft... of course, he gets his usual 50 percent commission.

"offering to sell Russia some Boeing aircraft"

Trump could drive a hard bargain there, as Russia is hurting from the sanctions. And let's face it Boeing will take the money.

So. What does Trump get for it?

The ones that crash all the time?

He's probably offering B1 Lancers, F-15s, Apache helicopters, RC-135 spy planes and his namesake F-47 superduperfighter.

He should throw in some V-22s though. The most crash all the time plane of our lifetimes. Though by flight hours I'm sure Concorde is still in first place by a country mile. More V-22s have crashed than Concordes were built amirite!

I joked that this piece of s*^% would give Alaska away.

And he's basically doing so.

You f^*+ing morons who support this s^*% heap are pathetic.

I left those out on purpose. :-) I suppose they could use them for attack drones.

So the Great Negotiator is letting the Russians have Alaska?

Instead of Sudetenland, Trump is giving Hitler Alaska?

That's the Cessna 152.

The CH-53 has 5.66 serious accidents per 100k flight hours, the V-22 has 2.27. The V-22 is so safe they flew Obama around Iraq in them, it's the #1 choice for high ranking officers, etc. Only 12 have been lost in operations since 2007.

Now while most posters here are saying Trump Trump Trump, lets look at the map...

Russians have massed another 100,000 and that offensive is starting to making multi km breakthroughs. North Koreans have begun appearing in Donbass.

Time is running out for Ukraine, no matter how many weapons we give them. At what point do you chumps think they're supposed to negotiate, when the line collapses completely?

and we can't give them the 1 thing they really need, which is people. It's always been people. Nobody can give them people. Nobody here is suggesting send the US military, it wasn't a suggestion under Biden it's not a suggestion under Trump. The Poles aren't going in there, the EU isn't going in there, the UN isn't sending the blue hats.

The longer it goes, the more Russia gets.

and we can't give them the 1 thing they really need, which is people. It's always been people.

They didn't need "people" so much as American leadership. They stopped a three day "special operation " and turned it into a 3-4 year war and decimated the Russian army and sent it reeling.

What they needed was the full support of America and Americans to be able to advance and improve and take advantage of their initial successes. And while they had American support briefly and intermittently they put Pooty's dick in the dirt many times.

They needed Americans to take a strong lead in the defense of Democracy. The rest of the democratic world would have followed. No one wants Russia to be able to threaten or control Europe. No one except maga Nazis.

Any word on the nine Americans "wrongfully detained" in Russia?

No Russian should be allowed to step foot on our soil until they are released.
