Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, August 22, 2025

Federal agents raided the Washington-area home of President Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton on Friday morning. FBI Director Kash Patel wrote "NO ONE is above the law ... @FBI agents on mission" in a post on X at 7 a.m., shortly before the New York Post broke the news of the raid. An FBI official and a source familiar confirmed the search to News Nation, The Hill's sister network. Bolton was not detained and has not been charged with any crimes, The Associated Press reported. The search is related to classified documents, two sources told NewsNation. Bolton's home is in Bethesda, Md., outside Washington D.C.

Does this have any thing to do with the fact that the-------------'s name is all over the Epstein Files?

More actual lawfare.

Hey dips*^%s, when are you going to speak out against the abuse of federal law enforcement to target critics?

Bolton is widely considered a foreign policy hawk and advocates military action and regime change by the U.S. in Iran, Syria, Libya, Venezuela, Cuba, Yemen, and North Korea.[14][15][8][16] A member of the Republican Party, his political views have been described as American nationalist,[17][18] conservative,[19][20][21][22] and neoconservative,[23] although Bolton rejects the last term.[24][25][26] He is a former senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI)[27] and a Fox News Channel commentator. He was a foreign policy adviser to 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.[28]

couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

--- John Bolton.

That traitor had a chance to do what was best for the nation and instead chose to write a book.

He is getting what he deserves.

This is the full out weaponization of the FBI, DOJ, etc.
This is the incarnation of the PROJECTION we've heard for years from the GOP and Trump.
When you hear Trump of the GOP accuse Democrats of something evil, something nefarious - you can be damned sure the Democrats aren't doing it, and the GOP/Trump are going to do it.
Weaponization of our Government against all critics is exactly what I expected.

If we don't fight this shht, it's over for this nation. We're already well on our way to being another s-hole nation like Hungary, or Russia, or El Salvador, etc.

I hope we actually have real elections in 2026, but I am worried it will be way too late by then to do anything to stop this rot.

Gestapo intimidation tactics just as they are doing with the NY AG.

Bolton is guilty of not going along with Trump's obvious lies, and they are making an example of him

Yav, just remember ... you guys opened this Pandora's Box during the Biden Administration. Once it's opened, it's hard to close.
