Whelp, this is looking like it will be the final test on whether or not the military will uphold their oath to the Constitution.

I'm not holding my breath that they'll refuse this blatantly illegal order.

I'd like to think they would view a fellow citizen in person in front of them differently than foreigners seen from a drone camera.

But I honestly have zero hope of the military living up to its ethos.

I doubt it. I read they made the attack planes look non military.

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first attack on a boat that the Trump administration said was smuggling drugs, killing 11 people last September, according to officials briefed on the matter. The aircraft also carried its munitions inside the fuselage, rather than visibly under its wings, they said.

"they made the attack planes look non military."

We did that. The aircraft Sitzkrieg identified in the attack is a P-8 Poseidon. which is basically a 737 with military stuff where the luggage goes. It looks like a cargo plane to the casual observer.

"a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane"

I'm not sure I really buy all that. But it's completely possible it wasn't a P-8. We're always looking for ways to test our latest weapons platform. Even as blowing up a dinghy worth less than the fuel it cost to fly in and bomb it, is not a very thorough test.

He is so transparent...

Send the gestapo to shoot people with guns, rubber bullets and pepper balls. Drag US citizens out of their work, beat them and leave them eight miles away in sub zero cold. Toss flash bang grenades into cars with children.

All this was designed to cause mass protests so he could use the insurrection act to cancel the mid terms because he is tanking so badly in the polls.

It is just starting.

Liberals lost any clout they had in this fight when their hypocrisy causes them to refuse to support and empathize with those killed by illegals. Once liberals get a heart and stop thinking that pandering along ideological lines for votes, THEN they can enter the conversation. As it stands today, their protests are nothing more than succumbing to a sheep mentality by their party.

You can support illegals without holding illegal protests. You can ALSO support those killed, raped, etc. by illegals without claiming you are against illegals. Come to the table as adults and the country will back you 100%.

- those killed by illegals.

You are just repeating TRUMP'S LIES:

"Research consistently shows that immigrants, including undocumented individuals, commit crimes at significantly lower rates than native-born U.S. citizens. This trend has been documented across various types of offenses and has remained consistent for decades.

Key Findings on Crime Rates

Incarceration Rates: According to studies through 2025, native-born Americans are roughly 267% more likely to be incarcerated by age 33 than immigrants. In 2023, the incarceration rate for native-born citizens was 1,221 per 100,000, while it was 613 for undocumented immigrants and 319 for legal immigrants.

Violent Crime: In Texas"the only state that systematically tracks criminal history by immigration status"undocumented immigrants are arrested for violent and drug crimes at less than half the rate of native-born citizens.

Homicide: Data from 2012 to 2018 in Texas showed a total homicide arrest rate of 4.8 per 100,000 for U.S.-born citizens compared to 1.9 per 100,000 for undocumented immigrants."

You are intimating that this is the Democrat agenda, not Trump's? To have ICE protests legitimize the insurrection act?

First, you give them waaaay too much credit - there are no corporate paid legislators protesting ICE in the street.

The biggest catfish I ever caught was just after dark.

Catfish are nocturnal and become more active after dark, moving into shallower waters to hunt for food, using their excellent sense of smell, and avoiding daytime boat traffic, making it a prime time for anglers to find them and catch larger specimens. While you can catch them during the day, night fishing offers more aggressive bites, especially in summer when they seek cooler, deeper water during the day and move shallower to feed at night.

Trump Gripes About 2026 Midterms, Saying, 'When You Think of It, We Shouldn't Even Have an Election'
people.com

... Faced with the looming threat that Republicans might lose control of Congress, President Donald Trump suggested America should call off its upcoming midterm elections.

The president, 79, sat down with Reuters for an interview on Wednesday, Jan. 14, during which he addressed new polling numbers. The Lincoln Project reported this week that 18 House races have recently shifted in the Democrats' favor, and the Senate is thought to be up for grabs as well.

"It's some deep psychological thing, but when you win the presidency, you don't win the midterms," Trump said.

He even went so far as to boast that the first year of his second term had gone so well that "when you think of it, we shouldn't even have an election." ...

BREAKING: Federal judge severely limits what ICE can do in Minnesota effective immediately. In a nutshell...no tackling, spraying, dragging, shooting, bombing, beating, or even interacting with anyone they don't have a warrant or reasonable suspicion for. Failure to adhere will be considered contempt. The judge especially stated no arresting people who are filming at a safe distance, no pulling people from cars who aren't interacting with ICE, and no menacing peaceful protesters either.

... Federal officers in the Minneapolis-area participating in its largest recent U.S. immigration enforcement operation can't detain or tear gas peaceful protesters who aren't obstructing authorities, including when these people are observing the agents, a judge in Minnesota ruled Friday.

U.S. District Judge Kate Menendez's ruling addresses a case filed in December on behalf of six Minnesota activists. The six are among the thousands who have been observing the activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol officers enforcing the Trump administration's immigration crackdown in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area since last month. ...
