Federal immigration officers are asserting sweeping power to forcibly enter people's homes without a judge's warrant, according to an internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement memo obtained by The Associated Press, marking a sharp reversal of longstanding guidance meant to respect constitutional limits on government searches.

Chillingly, the whistleblower says that ICE trainers were directed (no paper trail?) to train all of ICE's new recruits that these administrative warrants authorize breaking into peoples' homes, even though DHS's own training materials still make clear that's illegal!

I'm not sure why there was ever any debate about whether Trump is a Hitler and his minions are Nazis.

Too bad previous administrations, Democratic and Republican, did not dismantle DHS and ICE, an organization that is more powerful than the FBI.

FBI SAs require a warrant to arrest anyone or invade their privacy or homes.

Same for the US Marshal Service (USMS).

Now we have this runaway train abusing residents of America without oversight.

We are all Russians, Chinese, and Palestinians now.

Constitution? What Constitution?

"ICE assert sweeping power to enter homes without warrant"

Aww, that's a shame.

The light of the Constitution being burned is so bright, it's scaring the Republican cockroaches away.

Remember Jeff whining that he thought the feds didn't have a good enough reason for a warrant to raid Mar-a-Lago for the stolen classified documents?

...guess they didn't need a warrant.

He looks like he's ready for ISIS or the Taliban.

The only "fix" for ICE and DHS is casting it lock, stock, and barrel into the four winds by Executive Order signed by the non-Republican Party POTUS immediately after being sworn in on 20 January 2029.

These ICE paid agitators are going to burst into the wrong house any day now, and some resident will demonstrate the 'Castle Doctrine' and unload their personal protection device on some goober in camo pants and a vest. A firefight will follow, followed closely by a coverup...

Again, in our neighborhood, if an armed mask man with no ID or warrant, tries to break in to our homes they will be shot.

They have a memo!

Memo says it's all ok!

Isn't a memo enough for you people?

Would these "administrative" warrants hold up before the supreme court? Even THIS SCOTUS? I don't think even THIS SCOTUS would be willing to go that far.

I mean their memo says one thing but their training even talks about what could be 4th Amendment violations and the need for Judicial Warrants.

Sadly I am waiting for that day. I mean busting down the doors of CITIZENS and hauling them out in basically their underwear and crocs into the Minnesota snow and winter? (-2 windchill). Someone will unload on them sooner or later and it will be a sad day.

So, the sofa molester visited Mpls today. He and some ICE guy held a news conference. The ICE guy is showing pictures of criminals and accusing the Mpls police of releasing them into the city. The head of the Corrections Dept comes out and calls them liars. He showed video of the men being released into ICE custody 2 weeks ago from the corrections facilities.

Where's the 2nd Amendment chorus? Wasn't resistance to a "tyrannical government" one of their hallowed reasons for it's inclusion, end of story? Or is that only when chubby militia/prepper goobers are cavalierly given Color of Authority, and wink-wink/nudge-nudge permission to act out on the old beer bar fever dream of supremacy they've been systematically groomed to believe in? The really tragic thing is we've been here before, haven't we? Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Trump continued to sundown, only this time in front of a entire world, which is now waiting for the other foot to fall, just like the rest of us.

Probably ...

Interesting tidbit, since immigration/removal is a civil proceeding, the FifthAmendement doesn't apply.

Second, although in a criminal procedure, the court must instruct the jury that it cannot draw an inference of guilt from a defendant's failure to testify about facts relevant to his case, Griffin v. California, 380 U.S. 609 (1965), in civil cases, "the Fifth Amendment does not forbid adverse inferences against parties to civil actions when they refuse to testify in response to probative evidence offered against them." Baxter v. Palmigiano, 425 U.S. 308, 318 (1976).

If you're a here legally speak up, silence can be admission of guilt, carry and show your ID, while you don't have to carry one an officer can detain you until your ID is established.

The FBI has nothing better to do.
