The crazed gunman who killed two people and critically injured three others at a high school hockey game in Rhode Island on Monday afternoon has been identified as a transgender dad who railed against anti-trans hate in family legal disputes and deranged social media rants. Robert Dorgan, 56 " who shot four family members and a family friend before he turned the gun on himself following the deadly rampage at the Pawtucket ice rink " used the female alias Roberta Esposito, Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves said during a press conference Monday night. "We have identified the person, the suspect, by a birth name, the birth name was Robert Dorgan," Goncalves said. "We have also learned that the person does go by the name of Roberta, also uses a last name of Esposito."

People + whatever is always going to be an effective "system" to kill other people.

Why is every attempt to pass regulations for putting in sensible changes to gun laws to keep the problems from buying guns shouted down?

When you want to kill someone you generally want the deadliest weapon available.

So. Guns.

If not guns, knives.

From there killing your target becomes less assured.

Stabbing tools would probably work better than blunt weapons such as bats.

If you happen to be standing above your target and have a giant boulder, you could drop it on their heads. Anvils work too.

Trucks? In specific situations.

You need enough momentum. The target to be in the street. Once you hit them you can't be sure you've killed them. Unless they're plowing into a crowd you're not going to hit many people. It's hard to fit a truck into a school. Someone yelling, "watch out!" is enough to mess up the hit. Trucks are easy to dodge.

Man with a rifle vs man with a truck, my money is on the man with the rifle.

you can load them with fertilizer if you really want a mass-casualty event.

Explosives are fine when you want massive casualties and don't care who is hurt. But it takes a lot more preparation than walking into a church with an assault rifle.
