There's a lot of grifters pushing a combo of IVM and another anti-parasitic called fenbendazole.

Like every other pile of snake oil s*&^, it always seems to do exceedingly well when it's a woman's cousin's friends' boss' plumber's guy they knew posting about it on social media.

But when it's a case that's high profile enough to be seen publicly (like Scott Adams) or in actual trials, it doesn't do d*&^.
