Ivermectin is now making a comeback, after its use receded in the waning years of the pandemic. Now, especially in conservative political circles, its reputation keeps growing as a kind of cure-all for various ailments, and even for cancer ...

There is no credible evidence that ivermectin has any impact as a cancer treatment. If you choose to take it instead of undergoing standard treatment, you will die from your cancer.

Now they will all strip themselves naked, cover themselves in mud, and wear penis sheaths.

Let them die. It's what they want.

Ask Scott Adams how that worked for him.....

There's a lot of grifters pushing a combo of IVM and another anti-parasitic called fenbendazole.

Like every other pile of snake oil s*&^, it always seems to do exceedingly well when it's a woman's cousin's friends' boss' plumber's guy they knew posting about it on social media.

But when it's a case that's high profile enough to be seen publicly (like Scott Adams) or in actual trials, it doesn't do d*&^.

Scott Adams used anti-parasitic medications, including ivermectin and fenbendazole for his cancer.

Didn't work out.

I'm disappointed Trumpers didn't listen to Trump when he recommended chugging bleach.

It will cure cancer, because when you die, so will the cancer.

Win win really.

It's basically just another pharmaceutical drug, and it's just a symptom of the way many pharmaceuticals are marketed. People who scoff at it as "horse paste" for political or personal reasons are just as bad as those hawking it for said reasons.

Invermectin is a fetish o the Right. A superstition. It symbolizes MAGA self-destructive anger. They are welcome to it. Just don't burden the medical system when it's a life-and-death crisis after it spectacularly fails to work.

You're either completely clueless about how often drugs are prescribed for "off-label" use, or more likely you're just trolling as usual. I'm sure you and everyone else who's made the "horse paste" snark knows that the drug has been prescribed in humans since long before these grifters came along. Troll on, bro.

This might be a good time to remind folks the guy who ran the "No Way to Overdose on Ivermectin" website...

...died of an overdose of ivermectin.

His parents' reaction? To continue the website, and the grift.

@#17 ... the drug has been prescribed in humans ...

For what use?

@#19

Ivermectin (oral route)
www.mayoclinic.org

... Description

Ivermectin is used to treat river blindness (onchocerciasis), intestinal infection from threadworms (strongyloidiasis), and other kinds of worm infections.

Ivermectin is an anthelmintic. It works by interfering with the nerve and muscle functions of worms, by paralyzing and killing them.

This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription. ...

Proper Use

Use this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not use more of it, do not use it more often, and do not use it for a longer time than your doctor ordered. To do so may increase the chance of side effects. ...

What are you talking about?

We're well aware it's a drug.

But it's not a drug for cancer treatment. Or COVID treatment.

It's an anti-parasitic that has been coopted by wellness loons as a cure-all because they can sell it. The grifting fraud group "America's Frontline Doctors" were found to have made tens of millions of dollars by charging people for telehealth calls where they then prescribed the "patient" ivermectin without ever even seeing them or examining them in person.

People calling it horse paste are doing so as a mockery of people who are so desperate to follow this crackpottery they have gone to farm supply stores and purchases veterinary formulations to take.

So no, they're not nearly as bad as the idiots buying into this nonsense.

Maybe fully understand the context before pontificating?

Right, because you and your trailer house dwelling "wisdumb" are so well regarded around here.

LftHndThrds is dumb, but he's smart enough to mostly keep his mouth shut so as to not appear dumb.

But once he gets emotionally triggered, what comes out is an endless stream of juvenile homoerotic content.

He can't help himself.

The only attention he got as a child was sexual abuse from his adult relatives, so that's why he does these outburst. He's looking for the same validation he got as a child when the adults were paying attention to him and asking him happy by sexually exploiting him.

The hardest thing for people in his position is reconciling the shame he's supposed to feel as an adult with the joy he experienced as a child from getting all that much-needed attention.

He's not handling it well.

He keeps lashing out at his perceived political opponents by imagining them as the people who abused him as a child.

You actually believe Ivermectin works for anything more than parasitic infections you stupid f*&^.

Meanwhile, did you even pass high school biology? Is that the extent of your knowledge of biology?

All you ever have to offer is misinformation/ignorance and when it's not one of those two, it's common knowledge that anyone with even a slight amount of experience or knowledge would have.

Just f*&^ off and let your betters take care of things.

I have a friend in Texas whose son in law convinced him to use Ivermectin rather than Chemotherapy. It hasn't gone well; the cancer spread from points of origin throughout his body.

He is back on Chemotherapy as a holding action. We have been friends for 57 years. I am preparing for the worse at this point.

I so dislike the stupidity of these post science times.

"People calling it horse paste are doing so as a mockery of people who are so desperate to follow this crackpottery they have gone to farm supply stores and purchases veterinary formulations to take."

People calling it "horse paste" are not talking about specific instances of people doing that, at least not in the contexts where I've seen them repeatedly do it. It is hypocritically spreading misinformation about the drug. The World Health Organization includes it on its Model List of Essential Medicines for humans. It's one of many medications that have been used in both humans and animals, so calling it "horse paste" is as dumb as calling antibiotics a farm animal drug.

You know nothing about real life.

People call it "horse paste" because that's how they acquired it.

It's like buying fish amoxicillin when you need amoxicillin but you can't get a prescription because you don't have health insurance.
