"The probe is just the latest among a series of investigations launched by the department into political foes of President Trump, a number of which have faced significant obstacles in the courts and grand juries."

Lawfare?

More like, vindication for any white man being held responsible for their actions.

When Trump wins, MAGA wins, even as America loses.

"No one?"

The rapist prosecuting the victim.

I voted for that.

It's hilarious the child-raping orange leper couldn't tell E Jean Carroll apart from his second wife.

I love the fact that E. Jean elected not to take any money (she was offered) until the case was resolved because the millions of dollars Trumpy owes her (by law) is gathering interest.

Her family will be wealthy for generations now.

Thanks to Trumpy.

I also find it interesting that the case has been on the court docket for years yet the Supremes have delayed the final adjudication of this case at least 12 times.. for Trumpy.

"Trump Calls in Ghislaine Maxwell for a Favor in $10B Lawsuit"

President Donald Trump is turning to convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell as he resurrects his lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal over an article about a lewd birthday letter bearing his signature sent to Jeffrey Epstein.

The president refiled his $10 billion lawsuit on Wednesday after a federal judge threw out his first lawsuit in April, finding he had not sufficiently alleged "actual malice," the legal threshold required in defamation suits involving public officials."

"Trump Admin Cites Ghislaine Maxwell's Testimony
The amended complaint also alleges that the defendants had "either interviewed or consulted with" Ghislaine Maxwell, the imprisoned longtime associate of Epstein, about the birthday card "and intentionally failed to report what she told them."

Retribution may be the only campaign promise that Pres Trump has kept.

"Carroll, whose advice column ran in the women's magazine Elle from 1993 to 2019, has reportedly accused at least six prior men of raping her, including former CBS President Les Moonves. Her bizarre social-media history also included posts making light of sexual trauma and even asking her followers if they found Trump sexually attractive. Trump was prevented from submitting that evidence in his trial."

The case was lawfare from the beginning. They even changed the status of limitations to prosecute Trump, then changed it back after the trial.

The case was lawfare from the beginning.

Or just a rare case of Trump, the sexual criminal, being caught.

But let's talk about lawfare:

Trump has always been out to get people and so provokes the natural reaction of people out to get him.

Trump's demand that I be fair to Trump when he is and will never be fair to me is an appeal to American values; values that Donald Trump sneers at.

Keep digging in places like New Mexico. The chances of finding the literal dead bodies of little girls Trump has helped kill is high.

"The issue is all about her testimony ... specifically about the funding of the case. She allegedly said no one besides herself was paying her legal fees, even though it later came out that a nonprofit backed by billionaire Dem donor (and Epstein Island fanboy) Reid Hoffman helped fund her entire case."

It was lawfare from the beginning. They even changed the law for the case to c=proceed.

Remember, Carrol is the woman who couldn't remember when she was raped. Becuase Trumps flight logs would disprove it.That's why her attorneys tried to get access to the logs.

"Emails between her and her friend, who was also a key witness in the case, reveal her talking about her grand scheme to remove Trump from office. She was funded by a billionaire Democrat, benefited from changed laws specifically to prosecute Trump, and Carroll was the first person in the state to file under this new law. She won a case against Trump with zero evidence, no eyewitnesses, and in a trial where the judge refused to admit Trump's evidence against Carroll, showcasing a politically motivated prosecution."

If you don't see an issue with that, you are part of the problem.

If you don't see an issue with that

#13 | Posted by HeliumRa

The issue is your perversity.

When Donald Trump stands up for morality and legality, when he shows that cares about these things even a wee bit, maybe we'll get back to you (to the extent that you make any points at all).

As it is, Trump is hoist on his own petard.

Meaning, in this case, that he is receiving justice.

You remind me of the people who used to insist that we "play fair" with Hitler.

Now, even you understand how silly that was.

Trump must have like, a one Incher.

What a Pussy.

Punching Down is a Weak man's Strength.

Vindictive Prosecution by a Corrupt DOJ is SO Banana Republic.

This Country has become a A Sick Travesty of "Democracy".

The SCOTUS has created an Elective Monarchy just for Orange Jeebus Alone.

What are the odds she isn't a lunatic.

You would have to fall for RussiaGate to buy into this crap. Or Hunter Biden's laptop, or Ashley Biden's diaries, or....

Speaking of Ashley Biden BTW, where is bored?

"E. Jean Carroll still terrifies Trump

Justice Department efforts to rewrite history show #MeToo still matters

But Trump can't let it go, and he has tied the 82-year-old Carroll up in appeals courts, where he continues to make shameful and dishonest accusations against a woman he has already been held liable for defaming and assaulting.

He continues to insist she lied, even as he once veered very close to admitting he did it by falsely saying she enjoyed being assaulted.

Now the Justice Department, which has grown even more flagrantly corrupt under the leadership of acting Attorney General Todd Blanche " who served as Trump's private lawyer during both of Carroll's trials " has opened a criminal investigation into Carroll."

;;

"There's a strong chance this investigation will lead nowhere. Trump's Justice Department has already developed a reputation for bringing baseless, politicized cases that fall apart in court but still serve to appease the president's sadistic aspirations.

The logic is haywire: Not only is Trump reminding the public about E. Jean Carroll's accusations, the case could be as doomed as the recent phony charges the department has brought against former FBI director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The reported investigation into Carroll is about more than the president's bottomless narcissism. It's part of a larger, ongoing backlash against the #MeToo movement."

- accused at least six prior men of raping her

She never said that:

"However, the specific narrative that she "accused six prior men of raping her" is a misleading distortion of her account. In these publications, the six incidents detailed a range of misconduct rather than six separate accusations of rape."
