Pigheaded boomer democrats, who have long outlived their usefulness- they still can't admit to years and years of enabling the various forces that helped fuel the rise of Trump not once, but twice. As a rule, sure. It's surprising that young people would go conservative.
But what's happening in this moment in history is not that young people are going conservative.
What's happening is the GOP is achieving its Final Form as a fascist party, which appeals to disaffected young men even more than conservatism. The ones Obama talked about who cling to guns and their religion. The Kyle Rittenhouse volunteers.
It's not the same vision of America that Reagan was selling in 1980.
