Pres Trump seems to be TACOing a lot of late.

Why might that be?

It's his Superpower.

I live in Florida and pulling those things was sheer stupidity, We NEED that information to help with hurricane formation, tracking and forecasting,
I really think that is his point, People get no warning of incoming storms, Property destroyed, people killed,
That way he can clear the coastal areas of us less thans so that it will only be available for the haves, but not the have nots,
I think it was deliberate
Glad they stopped SOMETHING

He would if they'd let him.

Donald Trump wanted to dramatically reveal a Superman shirt underneath his dress shirt to symbolize strength when he left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after his COVID-19 treatment.

He was so intent on the idea that he had a campaign aide try to purchase a Superman shirt from a big-box store in Virginia.

Ultimately, Trump's advisors persuaded him to abandon the stunt.

This is a perfect example of why the "TACO" meme sucks. Unless you actually wanted him to completely shut down the monitoring system, why would anyone flame him for reversing course on this particular issue?

Oh so Trump does't want to save the taxpayers money.

Trump does believe the the Democrat Global Warming Hoax.

If you ignore a problem like climate change it will no doubt go away.

Because it's an easy example of his mindless cuts to government that make no sense and will later cost us even more to correct or reinstate later. ( Chesterton's Fence)

Some member of staff with more awareness than most probably explained to him that it would be beneficial to protecting his gaudy resort and gold club.

Nobody is "blaming" him. The point is that his "thinking" (if you can call it that) is highly erratic and inconsistent.

Couple that with the absolute corruption taking place and a significant flip flop in a short period of time almost always raises red flags corrupt intent. Well, to me it does.

@#14, 15

Wish I could disagree.

Was Pres Trump worrying about his own resorts, or did some billionaire resort-owner campaign contributors persuade him?

Wish I knew ...

Probably both. Trump never does anything for anybody but himself or his useless spawn hanging onto his coattails.

The other thing, in case nobody has noticed, he also gets a sense of power by his ability to hurt people (large groups preferably like cuts to health insurance, etc.)

"Because it's an easy example of his mindless cuts to government that make no sense and will later cost us even more to correct or reinstate later. ( Chesterton's Fence)"

It makes sense to criticize him for doing it in the first place, but not for backtracking on it.

"It makes sense to criticize him for doing it in the first place, but not for backtracking on it."

It also makes sense to point out he wouldn't've had to backtrack if he hadn't been an idiot in the first place.

See: Attacking Iran without realizing they'd close the Strait of Hormuz.

Make no mistake. I am pleased he reinstated this program.

How much will reinstating it cost?

And how about admitting that his decision to attempt to eliminate the scientific data (we paid for) that would help us understand climate change was wrong.

I criticism him for his lies his total lack of professionalism and his inept leadership and horrible management decisions.

I criticize him for how much damage he has already done and will continue to do with his hateful ignorance and refusal to listen to anyone and attack anyone who dares to become an expert on the subject and dares to speak up.

I criticize him for how much it will cost us (and our children and grandchildren) to repair the damage he has done.

All criticism of Trump is fair.

All of it.

#22 | Posted by Twinpac at 2026-06-21 01:32 PM | Reply

And the other thing is Trumpy did not make a decision to "backtrack" on his own.

Congress forced him too.

Why should he get any credit for being forced to make the right decision?

You think he learned his lesson?

No Susan. He did not. Given the opportunity he will just do it again find a way around the law or attack our democratic institutions in some other way to make up for his forced "backtrack".

Don't forget being VERY afraid of powerful women, especially ones who dare to ask questions.

Trump is every inch a glory hound, so it was a short trip.

On Wednesday, Merkley and Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska passed bipartisan legislation in the Senate to block the use of federal funds to dismantle the system until the NSF conducts a "thorough review and assessment" of the network, with input from scientists and coastal communities.

He will find a way around it. Steve Miller is probably working on it as we speak. Probably fire any scientist who speaks up or make the data unusable or misleading or they will hire/bribe scientists and lawyers to lie about it.

I bet SSentinal also believe that Trumpy has "backtracked" and removed his name from the Kennedy Center.

Yeah I doubt it. I bet it still up there while he looks for a loophole.

Why are the tarps and scaffolding still blocking the view? Because he never took his name down and does not intend to.

Oh that's nice.

Trumpers have forgotten about all the times they called John Kerry a Flip Flopper.

And now they're praising Trump for being a Flip Flopper.
