Maybe.

Maybe he felt Shame, Didn't
Know how to open up until later when he felt stronger.

I don't know enough about the Particulars.

Maybe Congress isn't for him. Wish him well.

Maybe it Isn't.

That's what Elections are for.

If Enough Constituents think he took too long to speak out he will be gone.

If he neglected his duties that's a valid reason.

Did he bring a note from his doctor after three days? No?

Negligence and incompetence.

So a perfect candidate for the head of the CIA or better yet the DHS.

Kean's depression didn't keep him from lining his pockets.

An experienced politician with his pedigree should know when to give it up. He should get out of the way. Missing 140 votes is no way to represent his constituents. I suspect he will be easy pickings for his opponent, if there is an election this November...

Nearly his entire paternal line (for the past 250 years?) have been greasy-nosed politicians. My guess is that collective guilt has caught up with the family name.

Lol. Roughly, it means "Against stupidity even the gods struggle in vain."

Thanks, NH. I didn't want to use AI to translate it. My German is way out of practice now.

"Against stupidity even the gods struggle in vain" explains idiot Republicans who continually vote against their own economic interests -- sinking the rest of us in the process.

Why is he still employed? There is no rule that he actually has to work after being elected?

If I had ever left any of my jobs for 4 months without telling anyone I'd have been fired.

Why do any of them even bother to show up to work if there are no repercussions if they don't?

One of my g-pop's favorite quotes. It's from Schiller, the guy who wrote the play for William Tell, my childhood hero (besides Ernest P. Worrell). G-pop grew up during the War and had stories of his parents helping all sorts of people who were on the run from those fucking Nazis. He liked to say, "Der tod ist die grenze des lebens, aber nicht die grenze der liebe." to my Mom (death is the termination of life, but not the termination of love). He was full of those corny things. When I would visit we would walk down to the store and buy a bag of Zwiefel's paprika potato chips and sit down somewhere and devour them (mostly him). He loved his junk food until the end, he-he.
