There are 148 public campuses in the California Community Colleges, University of California, and California State University systems. Many, if not all of their police departments, have stockpiled AR-15 assault rifles, stun grenades designed to cause temporary blindness, sonic weapons that resonate so loudly they are known in the armed forces as the 'voice of God,' and submachine guns.

Pigs should NOT have military weapons. No pig should ever be allowed anything capable of full auto fire. Campus pigs shouldn't even be allowed to carry guns, tasers and pepper spray are more than enough for them.

ARs are neither "assault rifles" nor "military grade arsenals."

Sort of a dishonest way to describe incredibly common flash bangs. "Temporary blindness" (as well as hearing loss) due to light, sound and concussive shock of a magnesium (IIRC) combustion process to disorient a target just long enough for a breaching team to get the jump on them could be much, much worse. They could have actual hand grenades...

Two out of three of the listed items are common on just about any police force in the country.

What's next, worrying that officers there might have body armor?

I don't necessarily agree with the above point but it's the basis for "defund the police" in response to police brutality, massive overreactions by law enforcement, innocents being shot, from either invading a home, or basic traffic stops, etc.
