He usually slithers out early to avoid the same thing getting caught on camera and broadcast on the evening news.
Or, perhaps because there may be a sharpshooter in the crowd.

I wonder if Dummkopf Trumpf asked Canada PM Mark Carney to stop sending the wildfire smoke south.

I love that the Spanish players wouldn't lift the trophy until Hair Fuhrer was out of the picture.

The hopeless, bad people' just won Donald Trump's World Cup www.politico.com
... Turns out, revenge is a dish best served on a warm Sunday afternoon in a New Jersey swamp. President Donald Trump has spent much of his second term in office berating Spain over its anemic military spending and refusal to allow American forces to use Spanish bases for bombing missions in Iran. Earlier this month, Trump branded the country "hopeless," derided the Spanish as "bad people" and briefly threatened to cut off all trade in goods with Madrid. Today, the president who in March dubbed the country a "loser" had to celebrate Spain as the winner of a World Cup that Trump worked to make his own. He handed the sports world's greatest prize to captain Rodri in front of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, King Felipe VI and a global television audience of more than one billion. ...

Awkward Donald Trump moment overshadows Spain's World Cup trophy presentation
Donald Trump was caught out almost photobombing the victorious Spanish team as he lingered on the stage while they patiently waited to lift the World Cup.
The president couldn't seem to resist hovering onstage after handing over the trophy as the Spanish side celebrated their win over Argentina, with Fifa boss Gianni Infantino forced to rush back to guide him away. . . .
Trump could be seen again pausing at the side of the stage as he watched gold ticker tape rain down on the winners.
One SBS commentator called it early, declaring on air "they can edit him out of that". And they did.

Wife watched it all laughing at Trump the whole time. My only question is who were they booing? Trump, Infantino or Both.

"Spain Humiliates Trump After He Refuses to Get Out of Victory Photos
Donald Trump presented Spain's World Cup team with the trophy ... and then refused to leave.
Trump handed the World Cup trophy to Spain's team alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino, after they beat Argentina 1-0. But the U.S. president then refused to leave the picture, apparently trying to run out the clock before the traditional trophy lift by chatting with the players as he jockeyed for a prime position in front of the group.
Spain's team, however, was not having it. Video footage of the historic celebration captured several players politely pushing Trump away as they prepared for their official photograph."

Wandering dementia-addled narcissist had to be photoshopped out of the team's victory photo, because he wanted to be in the picture.
When is Jake Tapper going to release his book on the sundowning dementia patient in the White House?

@#12 ... he jockeyed for a prime position in front of the group. ...
yeah, the tradition in such ceremonies is for the team and the coaches only to accept the accolades.
It was all but embarrassing to have to watch the FIFA president try to get Pres Trump out of the picture.
