I'm not yet ready to attribute this current observation to the decades-old Middle-East mess at this point.

As I noted in #2, voters seem not to be especially enthusiastic of socialists, but when they look at MAGA in comparison, they seem to prefer socialists.

Agreed.

Capitalism here in the US seems to be more about transferring the wealth of the Country upwards to the already wealthy.

And that transfer seems to neglect those who struggle to put food on their table.

While I may not have a disagreement with that comment, I also note what the GOP seems currently to be doing to our Democracy.

For starters, trying to suppress the votes of those who do not usually vote for Republicans.

The uber-wealthy have purchased our government, and they have funded the reduction of their taxes to record-low levels.

So, as a result, there is little to no money left in the budget to assure the health and well-being of working Americans.
