"As Delish reported back in April, the affected rice products were recalled due to the possible presence of foreign material. However, specifics on what that material is have still not been provided (although common offenders include stones, wood, metal, and plastic)."

Where was it grown? It's rice, for godsake. Factory farming manage to screw that up?

California has a direct state partnership with the FDA through the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA).
Under this agreement, the CDFA operates a dedicated Produce Safety Program (PSP) to handle on-farm all food safety regulations across the state.
Under both Newsom and Trump the agency has cut back inspectors to the point Newsom has cut 69 inspector positions.
