DoJ: President Can Shut Out Reporters for National Security

The Justice Department said late Tuesday that three major national media can be shut out from areas of the White House at the president's will, and because their coverage could be a threat to national security.

Ever since SCOTUS gave Pres Trump a free-pass on his subterranean ballroom project because of "national security," Pres Trump now seems to be hiding behind "national security" for all his poor decisions.

This is just a warmup for declaring a national emergency or a national security threat to stop or throw chaos into the midterm elections if the "fraudulent mail in ballots" delay releasing the total election counts or some such nonsense.

UPDATE

The DOJ was wrong.

PLUS, the judge also laid the groundwork for "No Appeals. giving the Plaintiffs time to file for a longer injunction.

The judge also dismissed Trump's claim of National Security, calling it (Reader's Digest version) . . . ahem . . . full of crap.

Trump operates on the theory that he doesn't have to win them all . . . only a few . . . to start blowing a hole in, and eventually vowing invalid, the Constitution.

Dictators, like Trump's mentor, Vladimir Pitin, write their own constitution. Trump wants the United States to be ruled like Russia.

Agreed, but not fully. A network can have both entertainment and news shows. That aspect should be taken into account.

They decided if they didn't lie to their viewers and say the election was fraudulant that they would lose viewers to newsmax and other channels that would lie more eagerly.

IMO opinions shouldn't be censored. But news that borders on propaganda, idk.

For instance, an anonymous sourced "news" article, making salacious claims, that only turn out to be false. Why shouldn't' there be repercussions for that?

Shouldn't there be some repercussions for this? This is the sort of thing that destroys trust in the news industry, but nobody said anything.
