"The good news, for friends of a free Ukraine, is that the Ukrainians seem to have won the race. The garrison in Chasiv Yar is now flush with ammo, apparently " and wreaking havoc on Russian assault groups."

As we all know, Vlad has only been trying to give Ukraine a great big friendly hug!

Hopefully, Ukraine can rebound from what the Republicans have done to them.

Time for a 155mm hailstorm. Putin is rushing up small arms ammo for shooting deserters.

Thanks to MAGA for making a bad war so much worse.

Now kick ass, Ukraine.

Vlad wishes to thank the GQP for delaying this as much as humanly possible, they are "useful idiots."

Now if we'd just send ammo to Hamas to fight the IOF oppressors, we'd actually be the good guys. A few Patriot batteries to discourage the IOF from bombing children from the air, and a few hundred Abrams tanks to take out the IOF tanks and bulldozers would be amazing.

Sadly, we're supporting the genocide in that conflict.

I'd opine that he'd also like to thank one of the current aliases here for the apparent parroting of Russian propaganda in support of Pres Putin's unprovoked invasion of a sovereign country. A current alias that now seems to be trying to back away from that support.

A half million artillery rounds arrived through March.

Ukraine was still caught sleeping at Kharkiv, the sector commander was fired. Heavy brigades have had to move from the South to reinforce the area.

How badly are you going to take it when Russia finally backs off and settles for what it can get?

#10 | Posted by Corky at 2024-05-19 07:19 PM | Reply

@#9 ... Ukraine was still caught sleeping at Kharkiv ...

Yeah, Russia opened a new front that Ukraine was not prepared for.

Ukraine is a small country when compared to Russia.

I doubt if anyone has said that Ukraine's fight for democracy and freedom against an unprovoked attack by Pres Putin would be an easy fight.

My question at this point... if Pres Putin continues to overwhelm Ukraine's defense in his unprovoked attack on a sovereign country, at what point does the West step in with the next level of support to back up their pledges of support for Ukraine's sovereignty?

Lyrics excerpt...

...
He was a man just a simple man
His thoughts and pleasures were few
His bread he shared with his father
That was the life that he knew

[Chorus]
And how the snow fell in Kiev today
And how the wind drove the mourners away
Now there is only one man at the grave of Davorian
And this man's heart is too heavy to pray

[Verse 2]
He was a man just a simple man
Died at the place of his birth
His tombstone shared by the family
A silent place on the earth

[Chorus]
An old man stands by the side of the grave
And this man's heart is too heavy to pray
For he is numb with the pain
Of the love that he couldn't share
And two men died there in Kiev today
...

There is no end in sight to the meat waves. They're still overrunning Ukr positions while driving through a rain of cluster bombs on golf carts, with logistics made out of loafs.

So how soon do you think we should have that nuclear showdown? We're already up to the point where American drones and surveillance aircraft manned by the US military pick targets for American weapon systems and then have a Ukrainian press the button.

Unmanned by the US military.

There's a 2 man team getting not-combat-pay for sitting in a box in Missouri collecting that targeting data to be used in combat.

Well, I guess we could just offer them Poland and Finland and then maybe they'd just go home, right?

Here's some light reading for ya, #15...

And that's why the drone is unmanned.

Are we unclear on what unmanned means, or are you really this much of a cuck?

#17 its "uncrewed" not "unmanned".

"Minimum payment on your student loans due?"

Not until November! Should be paid off by then, or not, if I find something better to do with my money.

Magat Mike was shown the light of day when it comes to what happens if putin wins.

He then made the right call to send the munitions to support Ukraine.

He won't be able to sway sporkfoot from supporting putin though.

"if I find something better to do with my money."

Max out on your 401k first, BEFORE paying a penny extra.

Why?

Eventually there will come a day when the balance is paid. Putting money in a 401(k) instead means by the time the loan is paid off, the 401(k) may double.

Next, think about the value of those two lines at retirement. From the point of payoff, how much does the 401(k) gain?

By contrast, from the day the debt is paid in full, how much does that appreciate in value for you by retirement?

The answer is, the first one would double and double again, while the second one offers ZERO increased value after being paid off.

#24 | Posted by Danforth at 2024-05-20 03:15 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 2

Well it's all "extra" since there's no payment due for six months, but the interest adds up, so...

I see your point though. Better to have that $$$ invested where it can accumulate returns, much like my unpaid loan accumulates returns for the provider.
