Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, June 16, 2024

This week, Attorney General Merrick Garland took to the pages of the Washington Post to lash out at critics who are spreading what he considers "conspiracy theories crafted and spread for the purpose of undermining public trust in the judicial process itself." His column, titled "Unfounded attacks on the Justice Department must end," missed the point. It is Garland himself who has become the problem. The solution is in Wilmington, Delaware, where 12 average citizens just showed a commitment to the rule of law that seems to be harder and harder for the attorney general to meet.

I read the opinion piece and all I can say is "What a load of tripe!"

I had to force myself to read it all the way to the end.

The author of that nonsense strikes me as someone who thinks he is right and the rest of the world is wrong, because he says so. Pfffttt!

#7 | POSTED BY BELLRINGER

Here's how we can tell you and the opinion piece are absolute garbage.

1. It says Garland hasn't been consistent with regard to Biden and Trump's having classified documents. If you are stupid enough to believe accidentally having classified documents after leaving office is the same as intentionally taking them, lying about having them, lying about what you turned over, hiding them, and getting accomplices to hide them, then you are genuinely too stupid to be here...or anywhere. Pretending the cases are similar and ignoring Trump's actions would be corrupt.

2. It says Garland is ignoring previous DOJ policies letting the special counsel go after Trump perhaps even through the election. Maybe that's because Trump broke the law? We've never had a president steal national secrets and throw an insurrection. The truth is you and Turley are PISSED that Trump isn't being treated as special. Treating Trump as special would be corrupt. Ignoring Trump broke the law would be corrupt.

3. Then it claims Garland is corrupt for using Attorney-Client Privilege to hold onto the audio of a Biden interview. IRONIC since you just claimed Garland was corrupt for ignoring DOJ policies and now you want him ignore DOJ Attorney-Client Privilege policies that were used in previous administrations (can anyone say Trump?).

You lie about facts of cases. You demand a two tiered justice system to protect Trump. You lie about DOJ policy and then demand Garland break policies you don't like.

You and Turley are DEMANDING corruption of the DOJ to hurt Biden and protect Trump. Pathetic as usual.

And they always want special treatment just for being Republicans. They make themselves the exception to every rule they apply to everyone else.

DOJ treated Pence and Biden in the exact same manner.

Why is that?

Because when the documents were discovered, they invited the FBI to come into investigate, returned ALL the documents, did NOT obstruct the investigation, did not move the documents, did not hide the documents, did not take the documents from one golf motel to another, did not use the documents as scrap paper, did not show the documents to a reporter or billionaire donor, did not instruct an employee to lie to the FBI, did not instruct an employee to DESTROY evidence of the obstruction or movement, etc.

It goes on and on and on.

But I have to ask...

How many times have I posted on this most august site the difference between what Pres Biden did with classified documents, what fmr VP Pence did with classified documents , and what fmr Pres Trump did with classified documents?

Both Pres Biden and fmr VP Pence actively worked to return the classified documents to their proper place.

Yet, fmr Pres trump has been continuing to retain possession of those documents even, apparently lying to continue that possession.

(do I need to post the timeline again?)

All that aside, the BellRinger current alias seems to ignore reality and try to flood us with, as Ms Conway says, alternate facts.

aka lies.

Why does that current alias seems to be so bent upon flooding this site with the lies of the GOP's alternate reality?

Please explain how that decision in the civil case was wrong.

And it was a civil case, not a criminal case, so "beyond a reasonable doubt" is not applicable.

If I remember correctly, in civil cases, the bar that needs to be cleared is a "preponderance of the evidence."

So, stop hiding behind the civil vs criminal aspect.
