Did you know that Florida also requires the same identification for purchasing tobacco, tickets to r/NC-17 movies and for purchasing alcohol???

#8 you're going to equate showing an ID to a person to read, to scanning into an online entity as the same thing? Intellectually dishonest at best.

There are also plenty of laws about how data is kept, yet I keep having to lock my information down because of breach after breach... But I'm sure these companies will be better about it. SMH

When is the last time you bought alcohol? A lot of stores are going to a scan and saved image in case there's any problem in the future. Also, in my state you can get alcohol delivered and the delivery needs a scan of your ID and a signature.

And I don't have an issue with someone having to prove their age to consume things like pornography, tobacco or alcohol.

I'm not upset. I'm simply saying children don't need to consume things like alcohol, tobacco or pornography (throw guns in the mix too) and I agree with age verification for any of them.
