Hegseth was drunk.
Convince me I'm wrong.

When Karoline Leavitt inevitably breaks, I cannot wait to read her book! Though I wouldn't be surprised if she falls out a window first.

"Mike Waltz, I guess he said, he claimed responsibility," Trump said.
"I would imagine it had nothing to do with anyone else. It was Mike, I guess I don't know. I always thought it was Mike."
"How do you bring Hegseth into it? He had nothing to do " look, look, it's all a witch hunt," Trump said.
Trump's statements just prove the only mistake he thinks happened was the inclusion of the reporter on the chat. He is totally unconcerned with the obvious national security breaches.

"Democrats and the mainstream media have turned this into a disinformation campaign. But all along we've been saying the truth - this has always been a Goldberg Atlantic hoax fake news not a leak not classified information these were attack plans not war plans it was the fault of a junior staffer Biden's fault."

I'm just angry with the hack journalist who didn't publish this IMMEDIATELY.
Lives could have been saved with that two hour warning if it had been dumped on the appropriate social media.

@#5 ... Democrats and the mainstream media have turned this into a disinformation campaign. ...
So far, most, if not all, of the disinformation seems to be originating within the Trump administration.
... this has always been a Goldberg Atlantic hoax fake news not a leak not classified information ...

At this point, I am beginning to wonder what big stupid thing will Pres trump do to try to pull the attention away from SignalGate, and regain control of the news coverage?

The folks at The Atlantic played this very well, avoiding legal attacks and (with an assist from Congress) getting some of the most senior members of the US intelligence community to mis-class the texts as unclassified, when even Stevie Wonder can see that those communications were classified.
This is what happens when one hires sycophants, mouth-breathers, dolts and the willfully uninformed to guard secrets and prosecute wars. Those people are much more focused on protecting their boss than they are in protecting this country's citizens.
Given how the court of El Rey Dotardo II is functioning, there will be another instance where something like this occurs. Next time, Americans may get hurt or killed, and it will be very tough to blame a journalist or Diamond Joe Biden...

Not sure if Putin would be honored or disappointed.

... Let me make clear that I am not criticizing the Atlantic, or Goldberg, here. The magazine has behaved in an exemplary fashion over the past several days. As Goldberg describes in the piece, he removed himself from the group after it became clear that the group was real and was exchanging highly sensitive material -- including information about targeting, weapons, timing of specific attacks against the Houthis, and the name of at least one intelligence officer whose identity is protected. The magazine also withheld such details in Goldberg's story. (Full disclosure: I was informally interviewed for the story by national security reporter Shane Harris on legal matters, though I was not privy to the story's details until it was published.) ...

They should turn this into a regular event on Sundays.
Find a nice big park in a red state somewhere.
Set up a fair and some food vendors.
Have families come with their kids to enjoy the festivities.
And then, around noon, they can gather everyone around the lynching tree and hand them an immigrant.
After all, lynchings Made America Great!
Also. Bring back sundown towns.
Let people know where they're not wanted again.
Yeehaw!!!

Joe Rogan could teach Goebbels a thing or two about spreading propaganda.
He, and a handful of comedians, are the reason Republicans received such a high turn out from Gen Z.

The Russians definitely have his number too. They are probably the ones who put a reporter onto the thread. But we will never know because there will be no real investigation.
See how much chaos it caused? Way cheaper and more effective than a conventional kinetic attack any day of the week in Trumplandia.

Ya know, I had not thought about that aspect previously. I had only thought of them just listening and archiving, but not meddling.
But, now that you mention it, with Pres Putin's goal to ~destroy America from within~ the possibility you raise is worth considering.
thx.

More fallout from "Signalgate." Trumpf withdraws nomination of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for UN Ambassador. He's concerned that Mike Waltz's empty congressional seat may be vulnerable and he has a razor-thin minority in Congress. And Trumpf is mighty sore at Mike Waltz over "Signalgate". And so is Elise Stefanik I imagine. US Ambassador to UN is a nice job if you can get it. Now Stefanik has to deal with town halls and re-election issues. Trumpf acolyte screws over another acolyte. Priceless.

Wait... what????
Pres Trump has said he had a "mandate." (do I really need to cite articles for this?)
What has happened to that "mandate?"
#30 | Posted by LampLighter at 2025-03-28 12:43 AM | Reply
Barely a few months in office and Trumpf is already worried about losing congressional seats. Some mandate: 49.8% of eligible voters on 5 Nov 2024 (which is eroding fast).

I doubt it. Someone might be, but not him. He likely doesn't even know why they are important.

Hi Redial: You could be right. But Trumpf withdrew Stefanik's bid so her seat remains unchallenged. Either way, I'm happy. Stefanik accuses Israel critics of antisemitism. She would have been an Ambassador at age 30-- some State Dept career people get as high as Consul-General after decades of service. No tears from me.

So, it's to be the ex Green Beret that will fall onto his sword for all those other idiots on this chat treason ordeal? At least he acted like a man in the end unlike those other scummy cowards, some of them ex military, in that group. How could Waltz be so so ignorant of the rules for this type of communication after multiple tour in the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan? Boggles the mind, I was only a PFC in the SF and I knew that opening my mouth when not asked for or going against specific regulation was a way to go straight to jail for a long long time. This guy got out as a full bird colonel for Christ's sake.
