Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez leads Chuck Schumer by 19 percent in a head-to-head poll for a potential 2028 Democratic Senate primary in New York, a Data for Progress poll of 770 likely voters found with a margin of error of 4 percent. Schumer's performance as Senate Minority Leader this year is widely criticized by Democrats for being too weak opposing Donald Trump.

Magic 8-Ball sez: Booker/AOC '28. That should really rile up the 4/8Chan paint-huffing sock puppets. Of course I'm trolling, yet the more I contemplate the pairing, the more intriguing the notion becomes.

Chuck Schumper (D-NY), the senior Senator from Israel residing in Brooklyn, NY, must go. If AOC knocks him out in a primary, excellent. Schumper's flaccid argument about not shutting down the USG because that would further empower DOGE didn't fool the cognoscenti. Schumper did not want to interrupt the flow of hardworking American taxpayer money to Jerusalem. As soon as the horrendous GOP budget passed thanks to him, war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu alleged that Hamas broke the ceasefire deal and re-started the Nakba. That very weekend Trumpf began bombing Netanyahu's enemies (the Shia Houthis). The Republikud Axis is moving America to war and Chuck Schumper doesn't care because the enemy would be Iran. You don't have to be Columbo to solve this mystery.

Interesting local article ...

Why Chuck Schumer Should Fear the Election of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
www.gothamgazette.com

... Pay heed Chuck Schumer. The base is coming for you.

And for good reason. The Democratic establishment is historically unpopular. And there is no exception even in deep blue New York.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's resounding defeat of Rep. Joe Crowley, the so-called King of the Queens machine, makes clear that establishment Democrats need to wake up. The election of an overnight socialist sensation was a clear demonstration that the groundswell of grassroots progressive activism in New York has moved from street protests to the voting booth.

Ever since Democrats lost to the least qualified presidential candidate in the history of the republic in 2016, there has been a growing repulsion with the status quo on the left across the country generally and in New York City specifically. ...

Yeah, that article goes on into other things, but the big one that stands out to me is ...

... there has been a growing repulsion with the status quo on the left across the country ...

Yup.

A repulsion of Sen Schumer's acquiescence to MAGA.

What will the future hold for Democrats?

You've learned nothing from the last election.

Moving further left will lose more Democrat voters.

Oh c'mon. AOf*&^ingC?

Why? What has she done? What leadership has she shown? What major initiatives has she lead, let alone passed?

The Dems are ---- stupid if they replace Schumer (who needed to go a long time ago) with an empty suit like AOC.

It is unclear what the Schumer-Ocasio-Cortez poll could mean for the New York primary in three years, however, with surveys this early rarely being predictive.
That might be the salient point.

@#6 ... You've learned nothing from the last election. ..

Why does your current alias state that?

As my comment notes, I am looking forward, not backward.

But, for the record, the last election I have seen was a 10% win in Wisconsin that ran counter to the millions of dollars Mr Musk dumped into the race.

So, what else yer got?

Yeah, I am the first to admit that I am not a AOC admirer.

But my prior comment was based upon the Town Halls that she and Sen Sanders held, and the surprising level of participation those Town Halls received.

Honestly, I'd rather see Sen Murphy instead of Rep Ocasio-Cortez.

But, that's just me. :)

For now, I will just go with Sen Schumer seems to be on life support ...
