Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, August 16, 2025

DHS Secretary Kristi L. Noem is living for free in a secure military home typically reserved for the USCG's top admiral. The highly unusual arrangement has raised concern within the agency and from some Democrats, who describe it as a waste of military resources.

Next to her boyfriend and travel partner, Lewandowski.

I wondered what happened to Corey Lewandowski. I mean, if Kristi wants to shtup Corey and he's a consenting adult, no matter.

However, Corey is now Kristi's de facto chief of ... wait for it ... staff (www.axios.com).

We're still surprised at corruption in this administration? Especially from the likes of trash like Noem?

Must been tough to live in fear of the people.

Not able to even live in her own home. Cowering in fear behind the walls of a military base. Afraid of the people she was chosen to serve as a public servant.

Maybe she should act like a public servant rather than a hateful bloodthirsty shrew. Maybe she should act like she is more concerned with following the constitution and the law rather than following a hateful criminally incompetent narcissist .

I bet her dog wished it had had a place to go and hide in too.

#7 it's interesting that you don't see this as extremist behavior by a small number of people.
And want to disown it.

But instead you want to generalize it to all Liberals (the people).

Sorry, as a liberal minded individual, I think it's pathetic people are threatening the lives of government officials.

People talk about right wing violence. Then ignore it when it's their team, with the hollow theme of defending democracy. Lol.

This won't end well.

And in Jan 2025 the Trumpf junta immediately fired and then evicted USCG Commandant Linda Fagan from this home with only three hours notice. Link: USCG Admiral Evicted.

#13,

She basically had two weeks notice, and they were going to put her on another part of the base. She was just bullshitting on leaving the quarters. The quarters she was in was for COMMANDERS, which she wasnt anymore. The base would have moved her, which they did.

For those of you who were in the military, you would know and understand this. But most of you don't have the balls to ever have served.

@#14 ... But most of you don't have the balls to ever have served. ...

I freely admit that back in the 70's I was granted an exempt status from the draft because of my college endeavors.

I will also say, as a result of those endeavors (a Degree in Electrical Engineering) I wnet on to work for a company, designing equipment that was "essential to the military effectiveness of the ship." fwiw, that phrase has stuck with me.

As an Electrical Engineer back in the day, I designed motors that were deemed to be "essential to the military effectiveness of the ship."

One such motor powered a hydraulic pump.

What was so special about that hydraulic pump?

Well, it was the pump that powered the elevator that brought the fighters from below-decks on an aircraft carrier to the flight deck so they could be used.

And after I designed those motors, and as they were being built, vI went into the factory to thank the workers who were building those critical motors.

OK that was a half-century ago in my life, but there it is. I am proud of it.

And, for the record, I do not in any shape manner or form try to do anything but respect those who serve our Country.

I do, however, have a concern about those who seem to raise such concerns for political purposes.

Serving the Country takes place on many levels.

@#19

I also designed motors that were "essential to the military effectiveness" of submarines.

But back in the day, I was never able to find out the end use of those motors.

Not really a surprise.

I did note, back then that the design specs for those motors were more specific, quite more specific, than the motors I had designed for nuclear power plant cooling towers.

But I guess, that may be a whole different thread.
