Democrats tumble in new poll (July 25, 2025)
www.politico.com

... President Donald Trump's approval rating remains underwater. But Democrats are faring worse, according to a new poll from The Wall Street Journal released Saturday.

The new survey, conducted by Democratic pollster John Anzalone and Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio, found Democrats' popularity at its lowest point in three decades of WSJ polling, with 63 percent of voters holding an unfavorable view of the party.

Only 33 percent of voters hold a favorable view of Democrats, with a meager 8 percent holding a "very favorable" opinion, for a net negative favorability of 30 percentage points. ...

The way Trump's health is deteriorating they should start tracking Vance's numbers.

#6 | Posted by lee_the_agent at 2025-08-20 03:58 PM | Reply

Um, half the Dem low numbers, at least, are due to Dems not being satisfied with the Party's approach to defeating Trump.

Polls are indicators, Fishpus, not votes.

The idea that Trump isn't hemorrhaging swing voters is laughable.

What's hilarious is, no one cares.

I don't think most of the people who voted for Trump are talking to these "polls".

We are just living our lives, happy with who we voted for has he does what we voted him in to do.

Most real Americans arent paying attention to what you liberal/feminist/democrats are saying or doing.

We just don't care. The way Trump is performing, you arent going to get more people to wish in Democrats.

Things are going just too good right now.

- The way Trump is performing

He's going to become a Lame Duck President next November when he loses the Mid-Terms.

He's so far under water now, you can't see the bubbles.

"Democrats hold a 5-point advantage over Republicans in who registered voters say they would vote for in their district if elections for Congress were being held today (44% vs. 39%)

40% of U.S. adult citizens strongly or somewhat approve of Donald Trump's job performance and 56% disapprove
The 56% who disapprove of Trump's job performance is the highest share to do so in Trump's second term
Trump's net approval rating (the share who approve minus the share who disapprove) is -16, also the worst of his second term
The -16 net approval rating is worse than Trump's net approval in all but five of the 208 weeks in his first term

;;

Twice as many Americans strongly disapprove of Trump's job performance as strongly approve (47%, a new high level for his second term, vs. 23%)

Trump has hit a new second-term low in net approval among Americans who lean toward neither party: 68% of this group disapproves of Trump's job performance and 20% approve, a net approval of -49

;;

Far more Americans disapprove than approve of how Trump is handling jobs and the economy (53% vs. 39%)
This is a net approval on the issue of -14, the lowest net approval on the economy in Trump's second term
The -14 net approval on Trump's handling of jobs and the economy is also far worse than Trump received at any time during his first term

today.yougov.com

And about 70 percent don't believe his Epstein lies....

I'm not yet convinced about the "already" aspect.

But, ~working to that end goal?~

Absolutely.

Which raises a question I have asked many times before (and one which I've yet to see be answered by MAGA ...)

Why do Republicans seem to be so afraid of voters?

Yeah, I've seem similar polling a month or so ago, but then the edge was only 3% (fwiw, well within the margin of error).

So, it does seem that the ~looking forward~ polls seem to show the Democrats with an advantage in 2026.

Maybe that is why the Republicans seems to be so concerned with gerrymandering to keep their House majority?

imo, the Republican gerrymandering efforts look like a significant admission of failure with the voters.

It's a Follow The Leader thing. Trump and FOX conditioned their lazy minds well.

It's apparent that the really stupid ones don't have a clue about the disease that's been fermenting in Trump's mind since his childhood. Combine that with age related paranoid onset and we'll all have a raving lunatic on our hands.

It werked out that Trump got less than half the vote and won by about 1 percent.

Yep, and looking at politics with the same brain you watch sports with, that's another MAGA trait.

Like owning the libs by not wearing a mask, and then you die from COVID.

Unlike in sports, it matters outside of sports who wins and who loses in politics.

You don't die if you team loses the Super Bowl.

But about 500,000 more Republicans died that Democrats did because their team failed public health.

Have another drink, and tell is what's really bugging you.

While there are still more registered Democrats than Republicans nationwide, recent data from 30 states that track voter registration by political party reveals a significant shift in party affiliations favoring Republicans. This trend, observed between the 2020 and 2024 elections, saw Democrats lose 2.1 million registered voters while Republicans gained 2.4 million, leading to a net swing of 4.5 million voters towards the Republican party.
