Pulse nightclub shooting as carried out by a foreigner and American hater with ISIS sympathies typical of the "radical progressives" that hate everything about normal Americans and love everything about non Americans.

Oddly progressives claim tolerance when they are typically just the opposite for legacy legal citizens. Personally all such use of political memes on public property need ended.

Also Key West is refusing to take up their rainbow crosswalks. Apparently this is a directive from DeDickwad.

That's a fact.

Just warning you all.

Good luck out there people.

Snoofy have you read about OMAR MATEEN the Pulse shooter and his background?

Yes I have.

Same mindset and similar M.O. as the nightclub shooters in Paris.

Broadly speaking, them being gay, and heavy repression of homosexuality by religious fanatics gave rise to a circumstance where the price was paid by a society that more or less is openly accepting of homosexuality.

It was easier to try to kill that, than reconcile that you're a gay Muslim.

It's not uncommon that gays are targeted by people who we might say are "Questioning." Because certain forces in society, mostly conservative, use scapegoats to perpetuate their caste systems, and gays, as a minority, are easy targets.

Because people in these regimented, right vs wrong societies tend to follow these cues from their leaders. A bit like the person in Butler, PA who heeded Trump's call to shoot pedophiles.

Contrary to popular Republican belief, that bible they pretend to read has a very, 'live and let live' attitude for what other people do... and nowhere does it suggest they take over the Gov and make other people live a certain way by law.

As a matter of fact, Jesus and Paul both said there are certain things Christians should not participate in, but that to condemn (kino GK, often translated as judge) other people who did was a major error; that Christians would be condemned as harshly as they condemned other people.

Looks like we found the self loathing, closeted homosexual.

The majority of Americans don't care what color sidewalks and crosswalks are painted, it only offends those who are miserable with their own lives, and become furious when seeing other people being happy.

I see a rainbow and I want it painted black
No colors anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the gays walk by, dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

DeSantis is a Florida-Trump fascist POS. He's ripping out bike lanes, and where he can't, he's removing the concrete barriers exposing bike riders to traffic. Looks like they're going to start painting the green bike lanes over as black, too, to match the roads. The GOP/MAGA party is genuinely a party of shitheaps with inferiority complexes that are determined to make life painful for everyone else because their lives suck so bad but they still think they know better.

Lyndon B. Johnson was dead on correct with his statement "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

Too bad for the United States that MAGA/Trump took Johnson's condemnation and turned it into a GOP fundamental operating principle.

@#26 ... He's ripping out bike lanes, and where he can't, he's removing the concrete barriers exposing bike riders to traffic. ...

Back in the day, I was in Florida on business, specifically, a bit inland from the Clearwater area coordinating with Engineers in a different division of the company.

The multi-day visit was in January.

Friday morning, I got a call from the corporate VP I reported to. He told me, stay there for the weekend, we are getting a severe snowstorm here in CT vthis afternoon. Have a good weekend, the company will pay for all, but be reasonable.

So, a free weekend in Florida in January. Awesome.

When I went into the Florida office that day, I mentioned that, and that I wanted to rent a bicycle over the weekend and ride around.

The four other Engineers in the room all immediately said, don't do that.

Riding a bicycle in Florida, they told me, is a death wish. The elderly seem to aim for you.

I took a major step back, an interesting conversation ensued.

I did not rent a bicycle that weekend.

OK, that little story aside...

... He's ripping out bike lanes, and where he can't, he's removing the concrete barriers exposing bike riders to traffic. ...

Why does Gov DeSantis apparently want to hurt bicyclists?

I think Desantis is making a fool of himself and revealing an extreme homophobic side that mosy normal people will see as unhinged; I've pretdety much always thought of him just as nuts as this rediculous episode will be like a tattoo om his forehead that says homophobr and, like a tattoo, it will be there for the rest of his life.

#28 | Posted by danni at 2025-08-24 07:25 PM | Reply

Pure spite. You could try to dress it up in safety or DEI nonsense, but at the end of the day, this is all about right-wingers getting back at the dirty homos who have been out in the open for too long.

If you were to cook a MAGA down to a sauce reduction, you'd get an oily, putrescent slurry reeking of unwashed feet, rotting ginkgo fruit and intolerance.

Why does Gov DeSantis apparently want to hurt bicyclists?

Because bicycles don't make noise and belch smoke like a manly vehicle.

His next move will be to mandate that all electric vehicles must tow a trailer full of burning tires.
