Paul Krugman: Charlie Kirk's audience consisted to a large extent of resentful young white men who felt that modern society wasn't delivering the status that they deserved. -- Given MAGA's brazen attempts to exploit Kirk's murder to suppress freedom of expression, I'm sure someone will call what I just said hate speech.

Trump getting elected after bragging about sexual assault made people feel they had to do something against sexual assault.

So they wore pink pussy hats and came up with the MEETOO movement.

But that movement overreached and became - men are evil and should be considered guilty until proven innocent, and they should step aside and let women lead.

If you're a 18 year old male voting for the first time, who are you going to vote for - the side that tells your time has passed and you're a rapist unless you can prove otherwise? Or the side that ISNT saying that?

He spent a lot of time on college campuses talking to the brighter minds of their age group.

Kirk was the dropout. The shooter was a third-year student at a technical college. And Kirk did have "debates" with college students on their campuses. Except he also deceptively edited the videos of said debates to suit his grifting agenda.

Kirk was good at taking a small minority of the more extreme lefties and capturing their comments in videos and used them to convince his followers those people are the face of their opposition and pretend there are no moderate sane voices in the democratic party.

It keeps people on the right exactly where they want them. Dismissive, distant, uninformed, and wholly untrusting of the left.
