Millions of Americans turned to food banks the last time Donald was in office.

If you don't want this to keep happening, you know what to do.

More FAFO.

Trump was a known quantity personally and the policies of this administration were laid out in excruciating detail in a hundreds of pages long document that was highlighted during the campaign.

Yet people still voted for him.

Now they're whining that they're getting what they voted for.

Well, tough s*&^. Find those bootstraps and start pulling.

In the middle of this terrible war initiated by the Kremlin, one wonders if the Russian or Ukrainian militaries are having trouble feeding their families like peacetime American soldiers under Dummkopf Trumpf.

Re 6

If they don't get their paychecks there will be panic. There's already tremendous concern. Enough to force some into food lines.

Are banks and credit cards and utilities going to forgive debts and will mortgage companies rework loans to tack payments due onto the back of loans again?

The 15th will be a significant turning point in the economy if paychecks don't arrive on time. Many (most) of these folks live paycheck to paycheck.

Black Unemployment Is Surging Again

Joblessness for Black workers is rising again, two years after reaching a record low. It's a troubling indicator: Joblessness often spikes higher for historically marginalized groups during economic downturns, and takes longer to fall,"

Trump cancels $94 million in food aid. Central Louisiana feels the pinch
lailluminator.com

... ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the millions of pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the administration's cuts. ...

In the spring, the Trump administration abruptly cut $500 million in deliveries from a program that sends U.S.-produced meat, dairy, eggs and produce to food banks and other organizations across the country " about a quarter of the funding the program received in 2024. The items that were delivered through the Emergency Food Assistance Program were some of the healthiest, most expensive items that organizations distribute.

The cancellation of these deliveries comes at a critical time for food banks. Food insecurity is higher than at any time since the aftermath of the Great Recession, according to federal data, and many food banks are reporting higher need than they saw at the peak of the pandemic. ...

Or buy weapons for Israel. They have a lot of heavy bombing to do once the hostages are released.

I'm looking toward the resolution of Point 9 in the list of 20 Points, and how Point 9 might be resolved.

Trump's 20-point Gaza peace plan in full
www.bbc.com

... 9. Gaza will be governed under the temporary transitional governance of a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee, responsible for delivering the day-to-day running of public services and municipalities for the people in Gaza. This committee will be made up of qualified Palestinians and international experts, with oversight and supervision by a new international transitional body, the "Board of Peace," which will be headed and chaired by President Donald J. Trump, with other members and heads of state to be announced, including Former Prime Minister Tony Blair. This body will set the framework and handle the funding for the redevelopment of Gaza until such time as the Palestinian Authority has completed its reform programme, as outlined in various proposals, including President Trump's peace plan in 2020 and the Saudi-French proposal, and can securely and effectively take back control of Gaza. This body will call on best international standards to create modern and efficient governance that serves the people of Gaza and is conducive to attracting investment. ...

Yup.

And, if I might add, the involvement of Sec Bessent in that "deal" might be quite suspicious because of te prior ~investments~ of Sec Bessent's friends that may benefit from the transaction.

my understanding is nothing was missed and they will still be paid Oct 5th.

If Democrats just voted yes on a CR they voted 5 times for in the past the shutdown would end. I don't see why Elite Democrats want military families to starve.
But I am surprised you aren't worried about people that need emergency care but are diverted away 30 min when their air ambulance helicopters might be hit with Lasers.
All because of a group that "doesn't exist", is upset and are plotting to shine lasers in the sky.

Get your priorities straight GasLighter.

They hadn't basically defunded health care and health insurance before.

Why not negotiate? Oh that's right, Trump needs those taxes for Billionaires.

The military can't eat? Blame Trump and the Billionaires.

If the Democrats were at fault, you wouldn't need to violate the Hatch Act by screwing with government Out of Office emails and advertisements at airports.

Why do you want people to die, OneIronNut? Why do you want them to go without health care? Why do you hate America?

(Oh right, you aren't an American citizen...)
