"The state of Israel, established in 1948 by its founding war, has appropriated approximately 91 percent of the land in what originally was called Palestine. Since WWII, the US has provided more foreign aid to Israel than to any other country. Total US foreign assistance to Israel 1946 to 2022: $317.9bn."

The World Bank considers Israel a "high-income country." In 2024, Israel's GNI was $55,250. By contrast, NATO EU member UK: $48,610 and NATO member Canada: $53,340.

Israel's universal healthcare system is ranked globally in the top ten and the term 'medical bankruptcy' does not exist there. Meanwhile in the US, an average 530,000 American families file for medical bankruptcy every year in our for-profit system. Israel's pension system is ranked third best in the world at 'B', above the US and UK which both ranked at 'C+.' On the Global Happiness Index (GHI), Israel ranked 8th while the US dropped to 24th. No wonder.

So, why is the hardworking American taxpayer funding a country where its citizens are enjoying a much superior quality-of-life who are ethnically cleansing their country of Arabs and Muslims?

Sidenote: Unlike the US with direct subsidies, since the late 1960s Canada has been indirectly funding Israel through charities and tax-deductible regulations per province and federally, albeit at a smaller scale. See one of many sources below.

"If a Knesset member holds an additional, non-Israeli citizenship, and the laws of the country whose citizenship he holds permit him to be released from such citizenship, he shall not declare allegiance until after he has done everything required on his part to be released from such citizenship."

In practice this means an individual who holds U.S. citizenship (and the U.S. permits renunciation) must renounce it before being sworn in.

Sounds like something we should embrace!

I'm pretty sure I understand the confusion.

We're using the English definition for "ceasefire", meaning: a suspension of fighting.

Whereas the Israeli definition for "ceasefire" comes from ancient Israeli, established 50 years ago, meaning: kill all the Palestinians.

The Palestinian land loss was the best thing to ever happen to the middle east.

You doubt me? Why do the Lebanese hate the Palestinians?

BECAUSE THEY DESTROYED LEBANON!

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz flew to Ankara and met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss security and economic matters.

"When the issue came down to Gaza, Merz bleated: "Israel made use of its right of self-defense, and it would have taken only a single decision to avoid the countless unnecessary victims: Hamas should have released the hostages earlier and laid down its weapons. Then this war would have been over immediately."

Erdogan, a vocal critic of Israel's military actions, again accused Israel of using "starvation and genocide" as weapons of war.

The Turkish leader argued that Hamas does not possess bombs or nuclear weapons, while Israel does, and criticized Germany for allegedly ignoring the imbalance.

"As Germany, can't you see this?" he asked."

And the German leader ignored the thousands of Palestinians being held in security detention without trial or hearing, which led to the 7 Oct 2023 attack to capture Israeli prisoners for a hostage-swap. This is a spectacular oversight from the new Chancellor. In Germany, no matter what the charge or jurisdiction (city, stadt, federal), constitutionally a judge must see that suspect within 24 hours or he/she must be released (e.g. immigration violation, shoplifting, murder, theft, toll jumping). In Israel, Palestinian hostages have been lingering in security detention for months, if not years without ever seeing a judge.

Ethnic cleansing ongoing since the Six Day War and clearly Netanyahu wants to turn the Occupied Territories into first a wasteland of dead Palestinians, then a paradise for the Settlers. We lost our honor when we allied with the fascism of modern day Israel, truth be told. I am a nobody from nowhere, so I can say that, the evil that is Israeli apartheid is allowed by the silence of the powerful.

btw, current operations are not geared towards 'destruction' of an enemy; rather they are part of a 'demolition' effort pursuant to development of newly acquired territory. It's much cheaper than traditional demolition.

Yeah.... the rwing Settler's bulldozers are better suited to destroying individual Palestinian homes in farmland than in the city.

This is demolition of buildings that are not salvageable, it's apparent from the photos. It's not from missiles. Redevelopment has started. The only people that don't like this and peace are the left. Shocker.

What exactly is "Palestinian Land" in the 1947 graphic? At the time, it was all British. Zionist settlers had purchased 2 million dunams of land in the levant by 1947. Arab ownership was limited to 50,000 dunams. The rest owned by the British, who inherited it from the Ottomans.

Now the map looks a lot different, doesn't it.

Israel? Perhaps.

Hamas? Without question.

I wonder why Erdogan is not doing his part of help rid the levant of terrorists. He was helpful enough against a similar enemy in the eastern Levant.

Genocide? By Hamas?

You're Delusional.

Hamas made the equivalent of a War raid by Indians against a much more powerful enemy, in an Existential attempt to stop the Strangulation of their Culture.

Explain how that was Genocide by an Definition?

Israel has Nukes,Israel has advanced weapons systems and a modern Air Force. Israel is a nation state.

Hamas might as well be Jews in the Warsaw ghetto resisting the Nazis by comparison.

You are a Hasbara Liar.

The USIC and DOD term for the thoroughly loathsome Benjamin Netanyahu or his ilk is PIFWC: "Person Indicted For War Crimes."

In Turkiye they say something to the effect: Toplu Katil meaning 'mass murderer.'

Hamas is a "culture?" I've been around longer than Hamas has.

Hamas is a political organization. Let's move on.

"Explain how that was Genocide by an Definition?"

Hamas is a political organization that has codified genocide against Israelis as part of their chart. Your turn.

"Hamas might as well be Jews in the Warsaw ghetto resisting the Nazis by comparison."

A more apt comparison would be between Israel's response to the 10/7 terror attacks, and the US response to the Japanese attacks on Japan and Alaska. May I surmise that you would have been in the streets protesting against the millions of innocent Japanese being genocided by the raycist, white supremacists fighting the war against Japan?

Would you like to do Germany next?
