Full Epstein Files May Not Be Released Until After Trump Leaves
The delayed pace at which the Trump administration is releasing files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein means it could be several years before it meets Congress's mandate for full transparency.

Republicans agree with not releasing the Epstein Files.
After campaigning on releasing the Epstein Files.

Not releasing the files allows people to imagine the worst of what might be in there. And they'd still likely come up short.
Releasing the files would give people facts and data, and start putting the issue in the past or commencing prosecutions for some and deserved ostracism and loss of status for others.
The thing is, I don't think anyone would be surprised by anything horrid Trump has done, or they would defend it to protect their own maljudgments, as happens here hourly.
Pee tapes? Who cares anymore? Chump change. They've been overriden by far worse and much more likely scenarios involving Trump's depravity and utter lack of human qualities.

@#4 ... Releasing the files would give people facts and data, and start putting the issue in the past or commencing prosecutions for some and deserved ostracism and loss of status for others. ...
That's where my view is.
Stated differently, my main desire regarding the Epstein files and their release is the serving of Justice for those who have abused the Epstein victims.
I do not care one iota if those abusers are Democratics or Republicans.
For me, it is about the serving of Justice.
That is what the Epstein victims have been seeking.
Justice.
The above leads me to ask, who is Pres Trump trying to protect by slow-walking the full release [minus the victim names] of the Epstein files?
And why?

Even if there was nothing in these files indicating Trump did anything illegal or even embarrassing ... ... .he would still do this. Even if he's not protecting any friends.
And why? The same reason used to explain much of what he does.
Cruelty.
Complete indifference to the victims. Complete indifference to justice. Complete indifference to prosecuting rapists and pedophiles.
Screw all of them. Pissing off the left trumps justice.

Yeah. I agree.
And that reason is ...
Not following the law.

We well remember how the phrase "rule of law" was spouted by the right wing as vital and sacred. How they were "originalists" who demanded the Constitution be followed to the letter?
We don't hear much from them about adhering to the law or Constitution anymore.
Add it to a long list including "fiscal conservatism" For instance, Bush Jr doubling the budget and more than doubling the debt, Trump and his trillion+ dollar deficits... how the loudest former anti-debt voices in Congress NEVER talk about deficits and debt now, only blaming Democrats when they're out of power. Democrats who cleaned up the fiscal catastrophes left behind by Bush and Trump)

I for one think they should keep this cover up going into the mid terms. There must be some serious ---- in those files to spend this much political capital and there's no way he'd do it just to cover for "friends".

So it turns out that there are 2 million files they haven't touched, and 12,000 heavily redacted ones they have released.
Which is called a COVER-UP.
