Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

"We're talking about family members that have had almost a doubling of their net worth in the last year and a half," [Republican Senator Thom] Tillis told reporters at the Capitol. "How can you not at least have them be subjected to the same thing I'm subjected to and every one of you?"

Folks, we may be getting scammed. Republicans are putting on a big show of killing Trump's slush fund. But what about the other part of the IRS settlement, which gives Trump, his businesses and his family immunity from audits? They're not saying anything about that:

That was always the goal.

The slush fund was a distraction.

Nobility in Europe were Tax Exempt for centuries.

Is Trump a Divine Right King?

Why does the SCOTUS seem to think he is?

Nothing screams honesty like declaring amnesty from investigation for ever for you and your entire family. /s

Fine. We will let him think he is immune from IRS audits.

Until the next president cancels that nonsense.

I'd like to think this won't survive Judge Williams' reopening of the case but nothing is normal now and who TF knows what will happen.

IRS agents may not be able to follow Trump's family around for the rest of their lives but my educated guess is that the IRGC will take up the slack.

Donald Trump, along with his many other sick attributes, is a parasite.

The next president might just nationalize and seize all the assets of anyone associated with the previous admin. It wouldn't surprise me, since that looks like where the state of politics is right now.

Take it All and Lock them all in Prison.

Sounds like Good Government to Me.

Brazil type Government.

Every former President there in recent years has served time after leaving office.

Israel too.

Rule of law can get Messy.

Forty years in the tax business; I've never even HEARD of a provision like this. Exempting him and his entire family?!? GTFOH.

No doubt the slurpers will show up en masse to universally condemn this obvious grift.

Any time now.

This is what he was really after.

The $1.776 billion was either a windfall or a distraction. They'll make FAR more money without any IRS oversight than that *ahem* paltry fund would provide.

Trump is always, always working an angle that improperly gives him money, power, immunity, leverage or revenge. He's the very definition of a megalomaniac.

Guess that should be MAGAlomaniac...

It wouldn't surprise me if all of America needs to be pardoned after every election from now on.

Or we could just have a Purge every four years for a few days when the law doesn't apply and we can get our "revenge and retribution" on all the A-Ho's from the previous administration.

Do you know, is this intended to be in perpetuity? Like in 500 years, any Trump descendant would be immune from an audit?
