The MAGA response would be that it's always been the Islamic Republic of Japan, and that Donald Trump is the first president with the courage to say it.

So far this morning, Trump has...

Declared the ceasefire over
Threatened to commit war crimes against Iran
Suspended trade with Spain
Accused the 'Islamic Republic of Japan' of launching 111 missiles
Referred to Zelenskyy as 'President Putin'
Said he is number one on 'Tic Tack'
Claimed prices are down on everything
Suggested the U.S. should have carpet-bombed Khomenei's funeral
Mentioned taking over Kharg Island
Removed Syria from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list
Praised China, Russia, and Turkey while disparaging NATO
Tanked the markets

Y'all acting like you've never seen an octogenarian drug addict whose never read a book & gets talking points from Putin after spending decades laundering money for the Russian mob & sex-trafficking girls w/his pal Jeffrey Epstein confuse Iran and Japan & screw up NATO before?

Most Trump supporters don't know the difference between Iran and Japan.

As Trump continues to stumble and bumble his way to the midterms, the country will have to endure the pain it inflicted upon itself in 2024. It's the price we have to pay for making the worst lack of good judgement of the century. TWICE!

@kerripepper

First he called it the "Islamic Republic of Japan,"

then he said he's "always right and that's why he got elected 3 times,"

then he called Zelenskyy "Putin" not once, but twice,

and
I don't know guys,

I'm starting to think he needs to try to draw a clock, and identify a horse, a tiger, and a duck again.

I was trying to unravel that unspooling from Old Yeller's cratering mind. And then ... then it came to me:

Witness: I flew with Striker during the war. I'll never forget the night we bombed Macho Grande. Striker was the squadron leader. He brought us in real low. But he couldn't handle it.

Prosecutor: Buddy couldn't handle it. Was Buddy one of your crew?

Witness: Right. Buddy was the bombardier. But it was Striker who couldn't handle it. And he went to pieces.

Prosecutor: Andy went to pieces?

Witness: No! Andy was the navigator. He was alright. Buddy went to pieces. It was awful, how he came unglued!

Prosecutor: Howie came unglued?

Witness: Oh, no! Howie was a rock, the best tail-gunner in the outfit! Buddy came unglued!

Prosecutor: And he bailed out?

Witness: No! Andy hung tough! Buddy bailed out. How we survived was a miracle.

Prosecutor: Then Howie survived?

Witness: No. Afraid not. We lost Howie the next day.

Prosecutor: Over Macho Grande?

Witness: No. I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande. Those wounds run pretty deep.

And there you have it: The Islamic Republic of Japan.

Yeah, Trump and I are the same age, and so I have been saying for quite a few years now...neither one of us should be in an important job that requires executive thinking and using our memory to make plans. Problem is, only one of us knows that retirement is a real gift, it lets us kick back and let the world roll on without our getting stressed.

Japan would have sunk the carrier, they've got lots of experience taking out US warships.

He was right... so now let's see if we can find it on the map... and exact our revenge

Re 12

Reminds me of old Ronnie Rayguns. Only hundreds of times worse.

President Ronald Reagan famously confused a Hollywood military training film with his own World War II service. He told Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir and Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal that he had served as an Army photographer who filmed the liberation of concentration camps. In reality, Reagan spent the entire war making movies in California.

Reagan also thought his memory of the 1944 Hollywood war movie Wing and a Prayer was a real memory of the war. Reagan had seen the film, and over the years, his brain turned the fictional movie scene into a real memory.

Re 13

Yup! Wasn't sure about this whole "retirement" thing at first.

But now I am loving it. Wish I had thought of this sooner!

(But then again I did have to do a lot of prep work to be able to pull it off)
