NYT interviews 10 people who didn't want to be deported, takes what they say as gospel all the while admitting they didn't independently corroborate any of the allegations. Is it any wonder trust in the news media is at a historic all-time low? This propaganda is what passes for "journalism" these days.

Their allegations corroborate each other.

You're so desperate to defend this atrocious behavior by our government. Why is that?

#1 | Posted by BellRinger

That's what you say happened...

To draw a parallel, how is that any different than you taking everything the Regime says as gospel? ..A Regime that lies more than any in history.

Face it.. you parrot every talking point that comes from this Regime. ..Are you secretly Scott Jennings?

Fun fact: The Gospels don't always agree with each other.
Do you believe The Gospels, including the parts that contradict each other?
You're not man enough to answer that question.
Eberly might be, but you're not.

" you parrot every talking point that comes from this Regime"

I'm criticizing how the reporting for this was conducted. It was half-ass. The allegations might be true. They also might be fabricated. NYT simply ran with the allegations.

"The allegations might be true. They also might be fabricated."

What a moral and emotional coward you are.
It's impressive that people like you and people like me are the same species.
You lack certain fundamental reasoning and perceptive skills that I would have thought are necessary for a human to survive to adulthood.

This reinforces my core belief about you, about why you're so heartless.
Which is that you live with some sort of profound disability, which renders you utterly and hopelessly dependent on others.

Pretty certain you went along with the NYT's and Judith Miller's fabricated allegations back in 2002.

Funny how you didn't criticize any of the reporting about the 2020 election being stolen when it wasn't. Why the separate standards?

And do you actually believe that even if true this administration would corroborate any of it?

Maybe you can post the Fox News investigations into this matter?

Oh yeah. They didn't bother to interview any of the victims.

But I'm sure Fox had a lot to say about how awesome a job Trumpy is doing anyway.

How would it be corroborated?

ICE has refused to allow our elected representatives access to their facilities. I don't see you being outraged over that.

So your criticisms just seem like deflections. "This story has not been corroborated" at the same time as you support ICE making it impossible for accusations like this to be corroborated.

Their lack of transparency and history of coverups is the reason why I lean towards believing accusations against them. They could solve that problem by being transparent, like any honest government organizations should be. They CHOOSE not to be transparent. And, in fact, the CHOOSE to be as opaque as possible.

The fact that you support them from a position of ignorance really just makes you look like a sycophant.

No, that's now how guilt and innocence work under the Constitution.

Under our Constitution, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

Also, bills of attainder, which would make what you wish to be true a reality, are expressly forbidden by the Constitution.

Regardless, your answer sidesteps the question. Which is, why do you laugh at innocent people being sent to the camps for indefinite detention.

Just tell us what's funny about that.

Entering the country via evading a port of entry and obtaining employment without proper documentation is illegal. Anyone of the deported people could have shown their ID/Green cards and they wouldn't have been deported - as long as no visas were expired. That's the proof. And idiots like you want each of them to get their day in court for a very special reason - you know the courts can't handle the load, and nothing will get done.

I don't have a problem with immigration when done through the front door.

JeffJ thinks we're not smart enough to notice that he routinely extends the benefit of the doubt to a government agency that has been proven to lie to the American people repeatedly.

He might not be smart enough to realize that's what he's doing, when you get down to it.

"Entering the country via evading a port of entry and obtaining employment without proper documentation is illegal."

Jaywalking is illegal too.

The question is, why do you think it's funny when people get sent to indefinite detention for minor crimes like jaywalking.

Since you used the word illegal, it's worth pointing out that being present in the United States without authorization is a civil tort. It isn't even a criminal offense. factually.co

ICE has detained United States citizens in possession of valid ID. ICE has detained people with valid greed cards for decades old bad checks. Those people aren't here illegally.

Do you deny those people are here legally, or do you defend their being sent to the camps as acceptable losses?

Haitians with Temporary Protected Status entered legally through the front door. Now, ICE is sending them to camps.

So. Either you don't have a problem with Haitians who came here legally being sent to camps after Trump ended their TPS.

Or, are you not telling the full truth about what you "don't have a problem" with.

Well, think about it. Under your rules, ICE could take you, and without your day in court, you'd be sent to some third world country.

You shouldn't be okay with that.

I don't think you have the moral fabric to tell us why you support that.

But you should really give it a try.

You don't have a problem with melania trump getting an "einstein visa".

See if the person came in on a VISA and overstayed then you'd be correct, but you aren't.

Haitians with Temporary Protected Status entered legally through the front door.

He was lawfully allowed to be present in the US so long as TPS is allowed for their country of origin.

Haitian TPS has ended,
www.uscis.gov

Its not a hall pass its temporary, its in the name.

Now, ICE is sending them to camps.

He could have left voluntarily once the TPS was ended.

Not guilty, just not allowed to stay, this isn't criminal or civil court, its immigration court.

He used Haiti as his country to remain under in the US under TPS, Haiti was removed from TPS.

There's nothing to prove, logically he's "guilty" (really in violation) of not being allowed to stay in the US.

He could have left voluntarily .. chose not to.

Under our Constitution, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

Except Trump am I right?

Not according to immigration laws that SCOTUS support. People who cross the border illegally within a certain distance of the border may be detained, and then returned, without a trial, or "proven" guilt.

Immigration courts operate this way to, there is some due process,, but its not about guilt or innocence, its about removal or not, not punishment.

If within certain immigration court process, detention is allowed until your case is heard. ie no bail.
