There is a remedy for this......it's called elections.

Not so with lifetime appointments.

Neither party will put an age limit. We have a minimum age......that's as much action anybody will take.

Voters decide how old.

That's yet another reason why congress won't subject themselves to age limits....they'd royally screw up the seniority thing.

A factor most voters don't understand.

and if age mattered to voters? Then explain how members of the US House of Reps (who only serve 2 year terms) keep getting elected well into their 70s and 80s? Every 2 years a younger option could be available....and they can run on their youth and drive a wedge between the voters and the older opponent.

There is a reason why there are so many old members of the House........because voters, despite what they say, don't really care about age.

Old age is an advantage for members of congress......not the other way around.

We aren't going to set age caps.
