Not that recent, the US Navy was created because Muslims were capturing US citizens and forcing them into slavery.

Personally I have always been against them, the current state of Islam is incompatible with Western Civilization.

"Thomas Jefferson created the Marines for the Islamic pirates that were happening." (2010)
politifact.com

... On his Fox News program on Jan. 29, 2010, Glenn Beck was providing a history lesson on progressives in U.S. politics when he made the point that the difference between progressives and the Founding Fathers is that the founders thought the United States "should be Switzerland. We should stay out of everybody's business, be friends with everybody."

"I mean, if you're going to mess with us, we're going to pound you," Beck said. "Thomas Jefferson created the Marines for the Islamic pirates that were happening, right?" ...

The Marine Corps annually marks its birthday on Nov. 10, to commemorate the day in 1775 that the Continental Congress formally adopted a resolution founding the Continental Marines, Neimeyer said. During the Revolutionary War, Marines fought with distinction. On March 3, 1776, 200 Marines spearheaded the first American landing on foreign soil, an assault in the Bahamas.

So that's why, if you go the Marine Corps' History Web site, you'll see the banner, "Since 1775, the Marine Corps has been winning battles and defending our nation."

Obviously, that predates Thomas Jefferson's presidency.

It also happens to predate the United States of America. ...

UN food agency chief describes absolutely brutal' situation in Gaza
Earlier, we reported that the UN has cut food assistance to 500,000 Palestinians in Gaza and 200,000 in the occupied West Bank because of a serious funding shortage.

Carl Skau, acting head of the World Food Programme (WFP), who just visited both Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories, told reporters in a video briefing that life in Gaza remains "absolutely brutal" and dangerous, with UN teams recording about 50 Israeli attacks a day over the past week.

Skau said WFP will now prioritise food to those most in need: the sick, mothers and children at risk of malnutrition, and people closest to the "Yellow Line" dividing where Israeli forces remain.

Adding to the difficulties, the Israeli military last week halted the shipment of commercial goods, including food, into Gaza.

In the West Bank, Skau said that escalating pogroms by Israeli settlers have turned what used to be a human rights and protection crisis "into a hunger crisis, because food insecurity has more than doubled in the last three years".

He said almost one million Palestinians there now need food assistance.

During his visit, Skau said he saw burned-down olive fields, camps and villages. "The settler attacks over only these first two weeks of harvest have already surpassed the whole of last year in terms of number of attacks," he said.

More from the article ...

... Even former allies are now openly scathing, tracing the country's current impasse to Macron's decision to call a snap parliamentary election in 2024 that weakened his authority.

"The end of this term is a slow agony," said Loc Kervran, a former lawmaker from Macron's camp, on X. "The president paralysed the country with his absurd decision to dissolve parliament in 2024. Arguably the worst decision in the history of the Fifth Republic."

LE PEN'S 'HIGHWAY' TO THE PRESIDENCY

The turmoil may benefit far-right National Rally leader Marine Le Pen, who is already the frontrunner in the 2027 presidential race and stands to gain from both the anger over declining living standards and the fears over law and order unleashed by the weekend's violence.

"Le Pen no longer needs to spend any money to campaign," Jean-Baptiste Moreau, another former Macron lawmaker, told Reuters. "It's not just a clear path ahead of her " it's a six-lane highway."

Le Pen delivered her own message to the nation in a video statement on Sunday, portraying Macron's administration as a crumbling power and casting herself as the figure capable of restoring order. ...

After we waged war on the Middle East, for decades, several nations became uninhabitable.

The people who once lived there migrated to Europe.

The protests currently happening in France are due to gas and energy being unaffordable, thanks to Trump's war of choice with Iran on the behest of Netanyahu.

The protests also attracts pro Palestinian protesters.

Which Trump and republicans are using to spread xenophobia.

Foreigners of Islamic persuasion are boiling over with anger toward the West, and it recurrently manifests itself at seemingly any protest. From US colleges to the streets of Paris. When I think about it, Osama Bin Ladin was a logical and inevitable step in the Islamic diaspora.

October 7 horrified me. It was as barbaric as 9/11. Driving young Jewish women around Gaza while raping them to death. Over a thousand murdered in a barbaric terrorist sneak attack aimed at civilians. Oct 7 should horrify any decent person. Wouldn't you agree? Or are you only able to play the game of 'what-aboutism' to try direct the blame back at Israel? Personally, I have no qualms about blaming Netanyahu for his many crimes against humanity. Why can't you do the same for Palestinian terrorists such as HAMAS?

Because Netanyahu and Likud funded it.

"As Israeli voters prepare for elections on Oct. 27, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has tried to defend and distance himself from one of his government's most controversial policies: allowing Qatar to funnel nearly $2 billion into the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip for more than a decade. "

#40 | Posted by moder8

That's not why.

The reason there can never be peace is because Zionism isn't interested in a peace dialogue.

Zionism is a political policy and moral philosophy of territorial conquest.

As demonstrated by Zionist conquest of Israel, the Golan Heights, Gaza, over a hundred colonial settlements in the West Bank, and now southern Lebanon.

Zionism is Colonialism.
You'll never, ever realize that.
And not because you're dumb.
Because you are paid not to.
And that is far worse.

Dear Sir:
When a real and final catastrophe should befall us in Palestine the first responsible for it would be the British and the second responsible for it the Terrorist organizations build up from our own ranks.
I am not willing to see anybody associated with those misled and criminal people.
Sincerely yours,
Albert Einstein
garadinervi-repertori.blog

The Jewish terrorist organization Einsten refers to is Lehi. The history of Lehi gives us insight into the true nature of Israel.

In April 1948, Lehi and the Irgun were jointly responsible for the massacre in Deir Yassin of at least 107 Palestinian Arab villagers, including women and children. Lehi assassinated Lord Moyne, British Minister Resident in the Middle East, and made many other attacks on the British in Palestine.[34] On 29 May 1948, the government of Israel, having inducted the group's activist members into the Israel Defense Forces, formally disbanded Lehi, though some of its members carried out one final terrorist act, the assassination of Swedish diplomat Folke Bernadotte some months later,[35] an act condemned by Bernadotte's replacement as mediator, Ralph Bunche.[36] After the assassination, the new Israeli government declared Lehi a terrorist organization, arresting some 200 members and convicting some of the leaders.[37] However, several months later, just before the first Israeli elections in January 1949, the government granted all Lehi prisoners amnesty under a state general order of pardon, and they were released.[37] In 1980, Israel instituted a military decoration, an "award for activity in the struggle for the establishment of Israel", the Lehi ribbon.[38] Former Lehi leader Yitzhak Shamir became Prime Minister of Israel in 1983.

Oof, Corky!

From 1919 to 1920 or so, the Vatican attempted to gain control of the Holy Lands during the tortured peace negotiations following The Great War. They wanted to make up for the Papal territories they lost during the recent Italian Resorgimento. During WWI the Vatican was plied with hundreds of thousands of dollars by both the Central Powers and Allies to get the Catholic Church as an ally in the war. But Pope Benedict XV hedged, never took sides, kept the pelf, and was finacially ready for that failed endeavor.

After the British finally absorbed Palestine as a mandate through the League of Nations, the Pope was later disgusted to see the British allowing casinos, liquor, and brothels in Palestine, remarking: "Ugh. The Holy Lands were better off in the hands of the Mohammedans" [sic].

What would America do if Native Americans kept killing Citizens?

Basically it's a stupid analogy. As the Palestinians at one time were able to go into Israel and work, enjoy owning property, adding to their economy. But they fell under the spell of a violent Islamic extremist (oxymoron isn't it?) and Intifada after Intifada kept shrinking their world. Too bad so sad.

But writing this I can see the parallel. Lumpers like and promote killing of women on light rail, thus killing more Israelis is met with the same glee. Truly Lumpers deep down are evil people.

Jewish communists

But they weren't over bearing communists, they came to Israel and started Kibbutz. Which really makes alot sense, too bad American Commies just want to oppress people and not actually join a commune, we'd all be much better off.

Is it any different than W ignoring the reports of AQ attacking on 9/11 to use as an excuse to invade Iraq?

#64 | Posted by Nixon at 2026-10-21 10:35 AM | Reply

It's a little different than that, because rather than use the attack as a pretext to attack a country that never attacked us, Netanyahu attacked the same group of people Zionists have been attacking for over a century now.

Driving the Palestinians out of Israel wasn't enough. Forcing the Palestinians to live in camps in Gaza wasn't enough, so they've destroyed most of Gaza. Allowing the Palestinians to live in the West Bank wasn't enough, so there's over 100 Zionist colonies in the West Bank now.

The Palestinians will be squeezed and pushed until they are all forced to relocate, or dead. Doesn't matter which.
There isn't much to debate about this. This is the history that's been playing out since before Israel was even born.
Zionism has always been a philosophy of conquest and occupation. Never one of peaceful co-existence.
Zionism is a Colonial movement modeled after the White European Racist tradition of colonization. If you know anything about history, you know all those colonies failed, always at the cost of African lives.

"Zionism has been described by several scholars as a form of settler colonialism in relation to the region of Palestine and the Israeli"Palestinian conflict. Zionism's founders and early leaders were aware and outspoken about their status as colonizers; early leading Zionists such as Theodor Herzl, Max Nordau, and Ze'ev Jabotinsky described Zionism as colonization."
en.wikipedia.org

Wikipedia continues, "Critics have argued that the characterization of Zionism as settler colonialism does not fit traditional colonial frameworks, seeing Zionism instead as the repatriation of an indigenous population and an act of self-determination."

Those two aren't mutually exclusive, You can ethnically cleanse the land of the Palestinians and call it repatriation of indigenous population, but you still ethnically cleaned the land. Zionism dislocated people who didn't arrive there as part of any political movement or territorial conquest. People who had been living peacefully alongside Christians and Jews for several centuries.

Bulldozing hundreds of Palestinian villages, literally "erasing them from the map" and building new villages with new names for the repatriated Jews is an irrevocable act of conquest.

There was never any intent or desire by Zionists for Israel to live peacefully with Arabs, within or outside Israel.

If you can't figure this out, it's because you don't want to:

During the 1947"1949 Palestine war, or the Nakba, around 400 Palestinian Arab towns and villages were forcibly depopulated by Israeli forces, with a majority being destroyed and left uninhabitable.
