Steam is not cheaper and it's not safer. Steam boilers are inherently dangerous and corrosive. And require more manpower and maintenance.

Though it cost me dearly we fixed that ----. Took it all the way to a two star general before we resolved it. But the time I got to his desk I obviously had to "go through some things".

But it was worth it. We ALL ate well (steaks and second helpings and chocolate milk and even flowers in the tables!) after that and I was an unsung but happy and well fed hero.
